Zoo Names Lucky Monkey After Sergio Romo

This story is sure to put a smile on your face. Well, especially if you root for the San Francisco Giants.

ABC News San Francisco:

SAN FRANCISCO -- A baby Francois' langur monkey born at the San Francisco Zoo last month that some believe brought the Giants luck in their World Series bid has been named after relief pitcher Sergio Romo.

The orange-headed female monkey, born during the postseason division series against the Cincinnati Reds in the beginning of October, will now be known simply as "Romo."

The San Francisco Zoo put out a call on Facebook and Twitter asking for name suggestions. Romo was the overwhelming response.

In the end, although the baby monkey is female, the name works out well as Lil Romo is already a pro when it comes to #RomoBombing.
