"Clemente" Film Screening

The Clemente Foundation and Pittsburgh-based production company, Vinegar Hill, will host a one-of-a-kind screening of the award-winning documentary “Clemente” at PNC Park on Sunday, September 14, presented by PNC Bank. The documentary exploring the life, career, and legacy of Pirates great Roberto Clemente is produced by Vinegar Hill and executive-produced by LeBron James and Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Richard Linklater. It was the winner of the 2024 Documentary Spotlight Audience Award at SXSW.

• Programming begins: 7:15 PM
• Screening begins on PNC Park main scoreboard: 7:30 PM

Following the screening, VIP ticketholders will have access to a special Q&A panel

Tickets for the event are available now for $15 each or a special offer of two-for-$21 in honor of The Great One and the number he famously wore. Exclusive VIP tickets are available for $75 that include access to a special post-screening Q&A panel and light refreshments. All proceeds from the event will be evenly split between the Clemente Foundation and to support the distribution of the film.

The screening takes place on the eve of Major League Baseball’s annual Roberto Clemente Day, when all 30 clubs will honor Clemente’s extraordinary life, humanitarian spirit, and enduring impact on the game. By hosting this event in Clemente’s adopted city, the Pirates are giving fans a meaningful opportunity to reflect on his story and enduring connection to Pittsburgh.
