Graduated from Bangor (ME) High School in 1995...played baseball, basketball, football and golf...was member of Bangor West State All-Star championship team in 1989...little league coach was novelist Stephen King...single...4-year Major League veteran makes his Giants debut as non-roster invitee, having signed as minor league free agent over winter...originally Boston's 6th round pick in 1995 First-Year Player Draft, owns 17-27 lifetime Major League ledger with 5.27 ERA over 98 games (57 starts) with Minnesota (2000, '02), Milwaukee (2003-04) and Kansas City (2004).
2004
Split campaign between Milwaukee and Kansas City, establishing career standard for games (43)...opened season in Brewers starting rotation...made 5 starts in April, going 0-2 with 8.61 ERA...made his last start May 15 vs Atlanta, allowing 5 runs in 2.0 innings...worked solely out of bullpen in his final 22 appearances with Milwaukee...was designated for assignment Aug. 6 and claimed off waivers by Kansas City Aug. 9...made 11 relief appearances for Royals, going 0-1 with 7.16 ERA.
