Resides in Barquisimeto, VZ during the off-season...Graduated from Mario Bricamo Iragorri High School in Venezuela in 1995...Played for Lara in the Venezuelan Winter League following the 2003 season, batting .295 (28x95) with nine doubles and 15 RBI...Hit .210 (25x119) with 12 runs scored, seven doubles, a home run and 19 RBI in 44 games for Magallanes in the Venezuela Winter League following the 2006 season.
2006
Released by the Cincinnati Reds organization on April 5, he split the season between Atlantic City in the Atlantic League and Aguascalientes in the Mexican League...Hit safely in each of his first seven games with Aguascalientes June 9-17, batting .310 (9x29).
2005
Spent the season with Long Island in the independent Atlantic League...hit .263 with 15 doubles, 8hr and 39rbi in 98g...on 11/11 was signed by the Reds to a minor league contract...on 1/12/06 was invited to Major League spring training camp.
2004
Made 4 apps for the Yankees' Class AAA affiliate in Columbus before he went on the disabled list on 4/19...on 4/28 was reinstated from the Clippers' DL and released...didn't play professionally the rest of the season.
2003
Began the season on the Cardinals' disabled list...on 6/3 was reinstated from the DL and designated for assignment... 2 days later was outrighted to Class AAA Memphis, where he spent the rest of the season.
2002
Spent most of the season at Class AAA Richmond but also made 13 apps during 2 stints with the Braves (11g from 8/2-8/26, 2g from 9/3-end of season)...for Atl made 5 starts, all at C...on 8/23 at LA made his final start of the season and produced his only career RBI...after his 9/3 recall made a pair of apps as a defensive replacement (9/28 at NYM, 9/29 at NYM)...recorded his only hit of the season on 8/14 vs the Giants.
2001
Spent the minor league season with Atl's Class AA Greenville affiliate...was promoted on 10/2, when Javy Lopez suffered a season-ending injury...on 10/6 vs Fla made his Major League debut as a pinch hitter and singled...made his other appearance the next day vs Fla as a defensive replacement behind the plate...in April and May spent time on Greenville's disabled list with a dislocated patella in his left knee...made 1 appearance in the post-season, in Game 2 of the National League Division Series at Hou doubled in his only plate appearance...was on the Braves' NLCS roster but did not play vs the Diamondbacks.
2000
At Class A Myrtle Beach appeared in a career-high 99g...after a 1-for-22 start finished the season hitting .285...on 7/31 vs Potomac singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 17th inning of a 3-2 victory...was the longest game in the Carolina League in 2000 and fifth-longest game in the minors that year.
1999
Spent the first 2 months of the season on Class A Myrtle Beach's disabled list...on 8/15 hit a 2-run HR in the bottom of the 18th inning to beat Lynchburg, 4-2, in the longest game in Danville/Myrtle Beach history.

At Class A Macon produced 10 homers and a .464 slugging percentage, both career highs.

At Rookie Danville committed 18 errors in 44 apps.
