Split the season between Toronto and Triple A Syracuse, working a combined 58.2 innings in 52 games...Started the year with the big league club and went 0-1 with a 6.04 ERA in 24 games (two starts) before being designated for assignment on June 22...Struggled to a 7.94 ERA in eight April games, and rebounded with a 1.17 ERA in eleven May contests, including seven straight scoreless appearances (5.2 innings)...Worked a season-high 3.2 innings on June 1 at Seattle...In his first outing with Syracuse on June 27 at Indianapolis, struck out two in a perfect ninth inning to
