Split the season between the Rangers (Rookie) of the Arizona League and Frisco (AA)...underwent rotator cuff surgery in March and was limited to pitching in just 3 games overall and was 0-1, 5.39 (4 ER/6.2 IP)...made 2 appearances with the Rangers and was 0-0, 0.00 in 5.0 innings...lost only appearance at Frisco and he pitched 1.2 innings and allowed 4 runs (all earned) and 5 hits while striking out 2 against Arkansas on August 30...pitched for Frisco in the Texas League playoffs and made 3 appearances...went 0-0, 0.00 in 3 innings...allowed 2 hits...made 8 appearances for Peoria in the Arizona Fall League and went 0-1, 4.45.

Opened the season with Charlotte (A), winning 5 of first 6 decisions...first 2 wins came with 5.0 shutout innings on April 6 at Fort Myers and 7.0 shutout frames on April 17 vs. Dunedin...allowed just one run in final 3 games (23.0 IP)...season-high 11 K's in May 31 loss vs. Daytona, allowing just one earned run in that game...final game with Charlotte was perfect game on June 10 at Jupiter (9.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 9 SO)...13 ground ball outs and 5 fly/popouts in the perfecto...first perfect game for Texas farm player since Oklahoma's Rick Helling retired all 27 batters on August 13, 1996 vs. Nashville...promoted to Tulsa after that game, earning first Double-A win by allowing one run in 7.1 innings on July 14 vs. Wichita.
