Full name is Ryan Patrick Fitzgerald...Played four seasons at Creighton University (2013- 16)...Graduated with a BS in business administration. Earned Second Team All-BIG EAST and BIG EAST All-Tournament Team honors as a junior in 2015...Started all 51 games, batting .279 with a team-leading 13 2B...Played for the Kenosha Kingfish of the Northwoods League, a collegiate summer league, in 2014...Graduated from Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Ill.

2022

Led Triple-A Worcester in games (127) and RBI (72) and ranked second in runs (tied, 55), hits (99), doubles (26), and triples (four)...Also hit 16 HR. Won Worcester’s Community Spirit Award. Hit four HR in his first four games of the season, going 8-for-14 (.571) with seven RBI and six runs scored. In 46 games through May, was hitting .291 with 41 RBI and a .913 OPS (50-for-172, nine 2B, four 3B, 10 HR)...Was one of 13 minor leaguers with 10+ HR and 40+ RBI through May. In his remaining 81 games (beginning 6/1), hit .175 with a .578 OPS (49-for-280, 17 2B, six HR). Following the season, helped to lead the club’s inaugural “Thank You Care-A-Van” from 9/29-10/1.

Hit .270 with 52 XBH and an .862 OPS over 108 games between Double-A Portland (95 G) and Triple-A Worcester (13 G)...Made 75 starts at SS, 14 at 3B, eight in CF, six at 2B, one in RF and one in LF...Also appeared in two games at 1B...Named an MiLB.com Organization All-Star...Led Red Sox minor leaguers in XBH (52) and tied for the lead in doubles (32)...Also ranked among system leaders in SLG (7th, .512), OPS (10th, .862), and total bases (4th, 186)...Ranked among Double-A Northeast leaders in doubles (T-2nd, 30), SLG (7th, .505), OPS (8th, .856), and XBH (46)...In July, hit .360 (27-for-75) with a 1.171 OPS, 6 HR, and 19 RBI in 23 games for the Sea Dogs...Promoted to Worcester on 7/29 and hit .262 (11-for.42) with a .911 OPS, 6 XBH, and 9 RBI in 13 games for the WooSox before returning to Portland on 8/17.
