Andy received an invitation to major league Spring Training as he enters his sixth professional season, all with the Cubs organization....Has batted .272 (282-for-1,036) with 65 doubles, 10 triples, nine home runs, 103 RBI and a .720 OPS over 283 career minor league games....Was named a MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2022....Played for the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League following the 2021 season, batting .273 (24-for-88) with three doubles, four triples, two homers and 20 RBI... Received AFL Rising Stars honors....Reached the Double-A level for the first time in 2021, appearing in 41 games for Tennessee....Was named a Midwest League mid-season All-Star in 2019, leading South Bend with a .275 average (134-for-487)....Was selected by the Cubs in the fifth round of the 2018 draft....Attended the University of Virginia, playing three seasons for the Cavaliers... Finished his collegiate career batting .306 (149-for-489) with 30 doubles, eight triples, seven homers and 103 RBI... Was named a Third Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball and First Team All-ACC in 2018....Graduated from Aurora (Ohio) High School...was a Three-time All-Chagrin Valley Conference selection and was named All-Ohio his senior year.

2022

Played all of 2022 with Double-A Tennessee...in 76 games, hit .300 (84-for-280) with 12 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 25 RBI, 47 runs and a .360 OBP... Saw time at shortstop (36 games), second base (28 games), first base (six games) and designated hitter (six games)... His .300 average was tied for fourth on Tennessee (min. 100 AB)...Opened the season with hits in 18 of 20 games, including a nine-game hitting streak from May 4-13... hit .372 (29-for-78) with six doubles, six RBI, six walks, a .417 OBP and a .449 slugging during that span... In May, he went 23-for-54 (.426) with a .492 OBP, .537 slugging and 1.029 OPS over 14 games... Finished the season hitting .435 (10-for-23) in Sept. with a .500 OBP, .522 slugging and 1.022 OPS.  

2021

In 2021, reached the Double-A level for the first time, but was limited to 41 games with Tennessee due to three stints on the injured list... Batted .214 (28-for-131) over 41 games with the Smokies... Began the year with a season-high, four-game hitting streak from May 5-8, including consecutive multi-hit games, May 5-6... Played in 22 games for the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League following the season and was received AFL Rising Stars honors... Batted .273 (24-for-88) with three doubles, four triples, two home runs and 20 RBI.

2020

The COVID-19 pandemic wiped out the minor league season.

2019

Andy was named a Midwest League mid-season All-Star with Single-A South Bend … batted .275 (134-for-487) with 36 doubles, eight triples, three homers and 59 RBI in 127 games … played 115 games at shortstop...Batted .291 (25-for-86) against lefties and .272 (109-for-401) against righties...Hit .338 (27-for-80) with runners in scoring position and two outs.

2018

In his first professional action, Andy split the year between the Rookie League Mesa Cubs and Single-A Eugene … hit .254 (33-for-130) with five doubles, two home runs and 10 RBI.
