Balbino had a breakout year, being named Northwest Arkansas (AA) Player of the Year, a Baseball America Double-A Postseason All-Star and was selected to the SiriusXM Futures All-Star Game in Cincinnati...Opened the year at Northwest Arkansas, before being promoted to Omaha (AAA) on July 4...missed the final five weeks of the Triple-A season after suffering a torn ACL in a rundown on July 24...Led all Double-A players in hits, ranked second in batting average and tied for second in homers at the time of his call-up...his .977 OPS with the Naturals was second to only Cubs' farmhard Kyle Schwarber (1.017)...Batted .391 (45-for-115) with 11 doubles and eight homers in May, earning Texas League Player of the Month honors... was also named league's Player of the Week twice in the month (May 4 and May 18)...Collected four hits in a game twice in the same series, going 4-for-5 with a double on May 1 vs. Tulsa and 4-for-5 with two doubles and a homer May 3 vs. Tulsa...also had three multi-homer games...Hit cleanup and started at first base for the World Team in the All-Star Futures Game, going 1-for-2 with a single...Hit safely in his first 10 games with the Storms Chasers and 13 of 15 overall.
