William Bernard Hall
Full name is William Hall, III...graduated from Nettleton (Miss.) High School in 1998...served as a special playoff analyst on ESPN's Cold Pizza following the 2006 season...he appeared in an episode of The Young and the Restless in 2007 with three other Brewers teammates...he took part in a youth program in December 2007, escorting children from Milwaukee's Beckum-Stapleton Little League on a day trip to Kansas City to visit the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum...he earned the Michael Harrison Award for Community Service, presented by the Brewers, in both 2004 and 2006...he was the Brewers' 2006 nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award and received the Brewers 2006 Good Guy Award from the Milwaukee chapter of the BBWAA...he has participated in activities to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the RBI program.

Began the season at Triple A Indianapolis prior to recall by Milwaukee on July 21 . . . after hitting just .162 during his first month with the Indians, batted a combined .318 in May, June and July . . . drove in season-high four runs on May 11 vs Buffalo . . . posted a 13-game hitting streak July 6 - 20 (.368, 21-57) . . . after moving into the lead-off spot on June 7, batted .338 with 29 runs and 15 doubles . . . recalled by the Brewers on July 21 grounding out in season debut that night in Cincinnati . . . recorded first Major League pinch hit (single) on July 26 at Colorado . . . had a solid August, batting .293 with three home runs and nine RBI . . . stole first ML base on August 20 vs Philadelphia . . . hit in career-best five straight games August 24 - 30 . . . homered in three straight games August 24 - 28 . . . collected first four-hit game (4-5) August 25 at Cincinnati . . . drove in career-best three runs August 24 vs Pittsburgh and August 25 at Cincinnati . . . batted .310 (9-29) over the course of his last eight games.
