Went 4-5 with a 2.63 ERA (16 ER/54.2 IP) in 44 appearances (one start) with over three stints with Miami (April 20-21, May 7-Aug. 8, Aug. 19-end of season), walking 21 batters against 43 strikeouts and holding opponents to a .219 AVG (44x201)...Had contract selected from Triple-A Jacksonville on April 20 and made his MLB debut that day at Philadelphia, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings and allowing one hit with two strikeouts...Over his first 12 appearances with the Marlins from April 21-June 13, he allowed just two runs in 19.1 innings (0.93 ERA), holding opponents scoreless in 10 of these outings...Made first career start on June 14 at Washington as an opener in a bullpen game (1.0 IP, 1 R, 1 BB)...Over his next 14 relief appearances from June 16-Aug. 7, before being optioned on Aug. 8 to Triple-A, posted a 6.28 ERA (10 ER/14.1 IP), allowing runs in six of these 14 appearances as opponents hit .283 (17x60) against him...Began MLB career with a 25.2 IP streak without allowing a home run that ended on June 27 at Arizona. In his final 17 appearances after being recalled on Aug. 19, he produced a 2-0 record with a 1.35 ERA (3 ER/20.0 IP), allowing 10 hits and 10 walks against 17 strikeouts for a 1.00 WHIP...Tossed a career-high 3.2 innings in his first game back with Miami on Aug. 19 vs. St. Louis...Did not allow an earned run in his final 12 appearances.
