Graduated from Eustis (FL) High School...played at Clemson University and in 186 apps over his three-year career for the Tigers hit .301 with a .392 on-base percentage and .504 slugging percentage... twice was a finalist for the Johnny Bench Award, given annually to the best collegiate catcher in the nation, and was rated by Baseball America the best defensive catcher in the ACC...was on the watch list for the Golden Spikes Award, given annually to the best overall amateur player in the country...twice was named to All-America and All-ACC first teams but over the course of his college career also was named to several second- and third-team All-America teams...played on a pair of USA Baseball collegiate national teams, two USA Baseball 18U national teams and one USA Baseball 16U national team...his father, Chuck, played football at Presbyterian College...his mother, Kim, was a cheerleader at Clemson...follow on Twitter @Chris\_Okey\_.

Spent the season at Louisville, his first full season at Class AAA...Made 71 apps overall, including 38 starts at catcher and three starts as the team's designated hitter...Played one inning in LF...On 1/19/22 was invited to 2022 Major League Spring Training camp.

2020

Participated in the Goodyear portion of Major League spring training camp (2g, 0-4)...Did not participate in July's Summer Camp at the alternate site.

2019

Made his first 9 apps of the season at Louisville in his first stint in Class AAA... On 4/22 was sent to Class AA Chattanooga and spent the rest of the season there... In an 8-6 Lookouts win on 5/22 vs Birmingham produced 3 HR, his first professional multi-homer game, and a career-high 7 RBI... Entered the season rated by MLB.com's MLB Pipeline the 27th-best prospect in the organization...On 1/10/20 was invited to Major League spring training camp, his second (2019).

2018

In 86 apps at Class A Dayton and Class AA Pensacola produced 13 doubles, 7 HR, 29 RBI and 2 steals...was his first stint above Class A...following the season was invited to 2019 Major League spring training camp, his first.

2017: Was rated by MLB.com the 14th-best prospect in the Reds' organization and by Baseball America the best defensive catcher in the system...2016: Was an MiLB.com Reds Organization All-Star...following the season was rated by MLB.com (12th) and Baseball America (14th) among the top prospects in the Reds organization.
