Spent the majority of the season with Double-A Reading, going 4-2 with a 5.14 ERA (35.0 IP, 20 ER),14 walks and 39 strikeouts in 20 appearances (one start)...Returned to Philadelphia from Minnesota on March 25 after being selected by Minnesota in the Rule 5 Draft...Had two stints on the injured list: May 3-28 and May 31-July 26 … had one rehab appearance with High-A Jersey Shore on May 23 and one appearance with Reading on May 29 before his second stint on the IL...Pitched for the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League … went 2-1 with a 3.86 ERA (14.0 IP, 6 ER), seven walks and 18 strikeouts in four starts.

Spent entire season with Dominican Summer League Phillies White (R)...with RISP, held opponents to a .128/.277/.128 slash line with zero extra-base hits in 47 plate appearances...limited right-handed hitters to a .141 batting average (11-for-78) and .192 slugging percentage...in seven August appearances, posted a 0.64 ERA (14.0 IP, 1 ER)...following the season, pitched for Zulia in the Venezuelan Winter League.
