Married Ryleigh....Attended the University of Louisville, where he went 21-5 with a 3.29 ERA (78 ER/213.1 IP) and 225 strikeouts in 49 games (35 starts) over three seasons (2015-17)....Earned First-Team All-America honors as a sophomore when he was 12-0 with a 2.54 ERA (22 ER/78.0 IP) and 77 strikeouts over 15 games (13 starts)...Graduated from Mentor (Ohio) High School in 2014 … lettered in baseball, basketball and football....His father, Brian, was an NFL quarterback with the Buffalo Bills … his mother, Lisa, played volleyball at Bowling Green State.

2021

Combined to go 4-7 with a 4.87 ERA (57 ER/105.1 IP) and 113 strikeouts in 24 starts between Class AA Birmingham and Class AAA Charlotte...Opened the season with the Barons and made 15 starts with a 3.82 ERA (29 ER/68.1 IP) and 77 strikeouts...Allowed one earned run in three of his first four starts with the Barons from 5/6-26 (worked 5.0 IP in each outing)....Made three scoreless starts in a span of four games from 6/15-7/2 … struck out eight in back-to-back outings on 6/26 vs. Pensacola and 7/2 vs. Chattanooga....Made his Charlotte debut on 8/11 at Jacksonville (ND; 3 ER/5.0 IP) … earned his first win with the Knights on 9/4 at New Orleans after allowing just two hits over 5.0 scoreless IP...Preseason Baseball America Rankings: No. 18 prospect in the White Sox system.

Did not pitch following the cancellation of the minor-league season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019

Combined to go 4-6 with a 3.25 ERA (44 ER/121.2 IP), 99 strikeouts over 22 starts between Class A Kannapolis and Class A Winston-Salem....Threw 6.0-plus IP 12 times (zero earned runs in three)...Tossed a complete game on 5/18 vs. Delmarva (7.0 IP)...Missed the last month of the season after being placed on the injured list on 8/10 with a throat infection.

2018

Made just eight starts with Kannapolis before missing the remainder of 2018 with a sprained left knee suffered on 5/18.

2017

Combined to go 1-0 with a 0.82 ERA (1 ER/11.0 IP) and 19 strikeouts in 10 games between the Arizona Rookie League White Sox, Advanced Rookie Great Falls and Kannapolis...Held opponents hitless seven times and struck out multiple batters seven times...Was selected by the White Sox in the sixth round of the First-Year Player Draft...was recommended/signed by Phil Gulley...
