Kevin enjoys the outdoors and morning hikes… his favorite is the Tenaja Falls trail south of Los Angeles that includes views of a cascading spring...In 2019, he fielded a ground ball at third base to start the first triple play in Double-A Montgomery’s 15-year history…he stepped on the bag at third, then went around the horn to Tristan Gray and Dalton Kelly...Kevin is passionate about nutrition and its benefits to athletes…he enjoys experimenting with simple and healthy food and has been on a strict healthy diet for three years...He is an avid country music fan and tried to learn to play guitar a few years ago while injured but retired from his musical career after two unsuccessful weeks...While traveling to see family on Thanksgiving as a kid, Kevin’s parents had to stop at a grocery store for last-minute items…he entertained himself by running up and down the aisles until he slipped and had to be rushed to the hospital for stitches on his head...Kevin remembers hitting a walk-off homer on his birthday for his Little League team while the team was making a run at the Little League World Series…the kids celebrated by popping sparkling cider outside the field.

2020

Was part of the Rays 60-man player pool and spent the summer at the alternate training site in Port Charlotte...Ranked by Baseball America as the No. 20 prospect in the Rays system following the season.

2019

Split the season between Montgomery and Triple-A Durham, batting .265/.389/.538 (93-for351)…his 31 2B and 21 HR were career highs and his 62 RBI were his most since 2016 (66)...Led Rays minor leaguers in doubles, home runs and extra-base hits…ranked 4th with 68 BB, 5th with 189 total bases and tied for 7th in RBI...Between the two levels, hit .368/.482/.759 (32- for-87) with 7 2B, 9 HR and 20 RBI vs. LHP...Promoted to Durham on July 17 and from that point through season's end, ranked among International League leaders in extra-base hits (21, tied for 5th), on-base pct. (.400, 7th) and slugging pct. (.595, 6th)...Named the Rays Minor League Hitter of the Month for June, batting .329/.446/.759 (26-for79) with 7 2B, 9 HR and 21 RBI...Named Southern League Player of the Week for June 3-9…led SL hitters with 22 total bases and a 1.100 SLG and tied for 1st with 8 RBI…hit a pair of solo homers on June 7 at Jacksonville (Marlins)...Ranked by Baseball America as the No. 17 prospect in the Rays system following the season.

2018

Spent season with Class-A Charlotte… tied for 4th in the Florida State League with 26 2B, which was 9th among Rays minor leaguers...Played in a career-high-tying 115 games but his .318 OBP was a career low…hit under .230 for a second consecutive season.

2017

Missed over two months with a left wrist sprain…played 22 games for the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League, batting .259/.323/.341 (22-for-85) with 14 RBI.

2016

Spent his first season in the Rays organization with Class-A Bowling Green…his 16 HR ranked 2nd among Rays minor leaguers behind Casey Gillaspie (18)…ranked 2nd with 79 BB, 3rd with 66 RBI and 7th with 71 runs...Named to the Midwest League midseason and postseason All-Star teams...Led the MWL in walks, tied for 3rd in home runs and tied for 6th in runs...Hit .277/.367/.479 (33-for-119) with 2 HR and 22 RBI in 34 games for the Brisbane Bandits in the Australian Baseball League...Ranked by Baseball America as the No. 19 prospect in the Rays system following the season.

2015

Split season between Class-A Asheville and Short-A Boise, batting .257/.372/.447 (87-for338) with 11 HR, 53 RBI and 35 SB between the two levels…transferred off the Asheville roster on May 16 and joined Boise for the start of the Short-A season on June 17...Led the Northwest League with 22 2B, 33 XBH, 128 total bases and a .906 OPS…ranked 2nd with 46 RBI, 45 BB, 33 SB and a .502 SLG, 3rd with a .404 OBP and tied for 3rd with 9 HR...Tied for 1st among Rockies minor leaguers with 59 BB and tied for 3rd with 35 SB...Named to the Northwest League midseason and postseason All-Star teams and the Rockies Organizational All-Star Team by MLB.com...Ranked by Baseball America as the No. 18 prospect in the Rockies system following the season.
