In August 2019, the Amarillo Sod Poodles hosted "Bachar Strong Night" as a show of encouragement for Lake's father, David, who was diagnosed with cancer in January 2018. The Sod Poodles took the field in a Padres throwback-themed jersey with #BacharStrong on the sleeve and the phrase "No One Fights Alone" on the back, a phrase that became a Bachar family rallying cry in David's fight against cancer. The Bachar Strong jerseys were auctioned off following the game, with the proceeds going toward the Bachar family's medical expenses. The Padres also donated various items, including signed bats from Eric Hosmer and Wil Myers as well as a signed game-worn Padres jersey. Bachar Strong T-Shirts were also available in the Sod Poodles team store...Prior to his 2016 campaign with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, was ranked No. 100 on Baseball America's Top 100 Draft Prospects. Also tabbed as the No. 1 prospect in the Northwoods League on Baseball America's 2015 Summer College League Top Prospects Index ... His 103 strikeouts led the UW-Whitewater pitching staff and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference while finishing fifth in the nation. His strikeout-total tied for the third-most in a single season in school program history. ... Was a member of the UW-Whitewater football team, and played football and baseball at Wheaton North High School where he was all-conference for baseball and football and all-area in baseball.

In 10 relief appearances with Miami, went 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA (4 ER/9.1 IP) with four walks and 11 strikeouts. Held opponents to a .278 AVG and owned a 1.50 WHIP...Made his Major League debut with the Marlins on Sept. 8 vs. PHI, striking out all three batters he faced on 16 pitches (11 strikes)...Did not allow a hit in first four appearances; did not allow a run in first six appearances; allowed runs in only one of 10 appearances (four ER on 9/21 vs. ATL)...Recorded a team-leading five holds from Sept. 8 through the end of the season, which was T-third-most in MLB. His 10 appearances since MLB debut were T-second-most in NL/T-sixth in MLB...Started the season with Triple-A El Paso, his first career Triple-A action after spending the 2022-23 seasons at Double-A. Went 6-3 with a 3.89 ERA (31 ER/71.2 IP) in 46 appearances (one start) with 32 walks against 85 strikeouts...Made one appearance at Triple-A Jacksonville, allowing one run on three hits in 1.0 inning pitched. Was recalled by Miami on Sept. 7 and spent the remainder of the season with the Major League team.

Worked in a career-high 42 games for Double-A San Antonio and posted a career-best 2.69 ERA (18 ER, 60.1 IP) and a 5-1 record for the Missions...All 42 appearances he made came out of the bullpen, making it his first season he had not made a single start ... prior to 2023, the most appearances he had made in a single season was 27 (done in both 2022 and 2018)...Led the Missions in holds (eight) and appearances (42), and among San Antonio pitchers who made at least 20 appearances, his 2.69 ERA ranked second best to just Kevin Kopps' 2.63 ERA in his 33 appearances...Logged five saves on the year after posting a career-high six saves in 2022 ... prior to his 11 saves between the two seasons, he had just three saves in his prior four combined Minor League seasons...In the first half of the season, had a 4.01 ERA (11 ER, 24.2 IP) ... in the season's second half, he had a 1.77 ERA (seven ER, 35.2 IP) with 37 strikeouts against 11 walks...After posting a 8.10 ERA in eight April appearances, he bounced back in May with a 0.96 ERA in eight appearances... in each of the remaining four months of the season, his ERA did not exceed 2.45. Played the majority of his 2019 campaign with Amarillo (AA), setting career bests in wins (8), games started (20), innings pitched (132.2) and strikeouts (133) while giving up a career-high 127 hits and 60 BB...Struck out a career-high 9 in 3 of his 4 starts from July 4-21…his 32 combined SO in that span ranked 2nd in all of Double-A and T-5th in the entire minors...Earned Texas League Pitcher of the Week honors for the week ending on July 21 after tossing a career-hightying 7.2-shutout innings, earning the win vs. Northwest Arkansas…he first tossed 7.2-shutout innings on July 4 vs. Frisco...Made 10 straight starts from April 24-June 17, pitching to a 3-2 record with AMA going 6-4 in that time...Went 2-for-8 (.250) at the plate with 1 BB, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored...Finished the season among Texas League leaders in wins (8, T-2nd), strikeouts (126, 5th) and innings pitched (126.2, 6th)…earned TL Post-Season All-Star honors...Made 3 appearances (2 starts) in the Sod Poodles' TL Championship title run…struck out 12 across 9.2 IP...Tied for the AMA staff lead in wins and ranked 2nd in games started (19), innings pitched (126.2), hits allowed (121), runs allowed (62), earned runs allowed (56) and strikeouts (126).

Made 1 start for FW in Game 2 of the MWL Championship Series vs. Quad Cities, suffering the loss after allowing 1 R (earned) on 4 hits and 4 BB in 3.1 IP with 2 SO.
