Originally selected by Boston in the 12th round of the 1999 First Year Player Draft out of Dallas Baptist University...Graduated from Port Neches-Groves HS (Port Neches, TX).
2012
Played in first ML game since 9/30/07 on 7/29 after contract selected earlier in the day ... Had two hits including a home run, two RBI and a stolen base September 8 vs. NYY ... It was his first multi-RBI game since June 30, 2007, when he had three @DET as a member of MIN...Also his first SB since July 31, 2007 ... Homered in consecutive games August 27-28 for the first time since August 19-21, 2005, when he homered in three straight ... On August 27 vs. CWS, hit first big league home run since July 29, 2007 ... Collected first Orioles hit July 31 @NYY, his first MLB hit since September 21, 2007 (went 1,774 days between MLB hits) ...
