Michael Grove… son of Jeff and Stephanie Grove…attended Wheeling Park High School (W.Va.) where he recorded a 1.20 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 33.2 innings in 2014 while hitting .488 and was named to the 2014 West Virginia Sports Writer’s Association All-State First Team.

Spent a majority of the season with the big-league club, going 2-3 with a 6.13 ERA (47 ER/69.0 IP) with 73 strikeouts and 10 walks…made his first Opening Day roster... Performed better out of the bullpen, sporting a 1-0 record with a 4.24 ERA (8 ER/17.0 IP) while holding opponents to a .214 average…posted a 1-3 record as a starter with a 6.75 ERA (39 ER/52.0 IP)... Fired a career-high 6.0 innings and struck out a career-high 10 on July 30 against the Reds... In his five rehab appearances (two starts) for Triple-A Oklahoma City, he produced an 0-0 line with a 2.70 ERA (4 ER/13.1 IP)... Struggled defensively with an .800 fielding percentage, making two errors in 10 total chances behind the mound... Made his first postseason roster, appearing in two games in the NLDS, sporting a 4.50 ERA (1 ER/2.0 IP)...Made six starts in Spring Training, going 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA (10 ER/16.2 IP) and a 1.08 WHIP... his 9.52 strikeouts per nine innings ranked second on the team behind Emmet Sheehan (9.55) among starters with a minimum 60 innings pitched... ended the season with four consecutive scoreless appearances (6.1 IP)...went on the IL on April 21 with a right groin strain and again on Aug. 6 with right lat tightness.
2022
Split the season between Double-A Tulsa (5 GS), Triple-A Oklahoma City (14 G, 12 GS) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (7 G, 6 GS)...Started the season with Double-A Tulsa, going 0-1 in five starts with an ERA of 2.76 (5 ER/16.1 IP)…gave up 11 hits, one home run and five walks as he punched out 22 batters while holding hitters to a .180 average...Appeared in 14 games (12 starts) with Triple-A Oklahoma City with a 1-4 record and a 4.07 ERA (27 ER/ 59.2 IP)…struck out 68 batters while giving up 56 hits, 32 runs, 10 homers and 21 walks...Finished the season with the Dodgers, recording one win and no losses over four stints…posted a 4.60 ERA (15 ER/ 29.1 IP) on 32 hits, 10 walks and 24 strikeouts...Made his Major League debut on May 15, 2022, against Philadelphia, tossing 3.2 innings and giving up four hits, four runs and three walks while striking out three while not factoring in the decision… recorded his first Major League strikeout on the second batter he faced, Alec Bohm, in six pitches...Recorded his first Major League win on Sept. 25 vs. St. Louis, allowing three hits, one earned run, one walk and punching out three in 5.0 innings...Ended the season on an 18-game streak of having at least one strikeout (since June 7). Punched out a season-high 10 batters in five scoreless innings on Aug. 17 with Oklahoma City vs. Sugar Land…was even keeled against righties and lefties with the Dodgers, holding them to .241 and .275 batting average respectively… pitched a minor league career-best 90 strikeouts in the Minors, as well as a career-low WHIP of 1.22.

Pitched the entire season with Double-A Tulsa, garnering a 1-4 record across 21 games (19 starts) with a 7.86 ERA (62 ER/71.0 IP)...racked up 88 strikeouts and limited the opposition to a .290 average…registered an 11.15 strikeout-per-nine mark...struck out seven batters in three separate occasions (5/23 vs. WCH, 8/6 at SPR, 8/12 vs. WCH)…did not allow a walk in two games (8/6 at SPR, 9/5 vs. SPR).
