Michael David Hinckley (Mike)... Married with one child... A 2001 graduate of Moore (OK) High...Named All-State and Oklahoma City Player of the Year as a senior...Also won the Ferguson Jenkins Outstanding Student Athlete Award, given annually to recognize Oklahoma's top high school baseball and softball student athletes... 2010
Spent last season in the Orioles organization, beginning the season at Bowie of the Eastern league (AA)... Was promoted to Norfolk of the International League (AAA) where he spent the majority of the season, making 24 appearances (one start)... BIG FINISH: Upon his promotion to Norfolk, posted a 6.08 ERA in June, however dropped his ERA to 3.33 over the balance of the season... LONG MAN: 11 of 23 outings for Norfolk were more than inning, including four outings of 3 or more innings.

Played for Class-A Potomac this season and went 3-9 with a 4.93 ERA in 22 games. ... After the season, it was discovered that Hinckley has a tight capsule in his left shoulder. Hinckley is expected to have surgery in the shoulder.

Improved yet again, leading all Expos minor leaguers in wins (11) and strikeouts (131)...2.77 ERA ranked 2nd in chain behind only Everts (2.45)...for efforts, was named Expos Minor League Pitcher of the Year for 2nd straight season...was honored-along with OF Ryan Church (Minor League Player of the Year)-on field prior to Expos- Marlins contest on September 28 at Olympic Stadium...began season with Brevard County of Single-A Florida State League...allowed one earned run or less in 7 of 10 FSL starts...did not allow an earned run in 3 consecutive starts or 20.0 innings, April 28-May 9...earned the win in all 3 games...walked 8 batters in first 7 FSL outings...issued 10 walks in final 3 FSL starts, however...scattered 2 hits, 2 walks and fanned 9 in 7.0 shut-out innings on April 28 at Ft. Myers...pitching for Harrisburg, made Double-A Eastern League debut on May 31 vs. Akron...allowed only 2 runs (one earned) in 6.0 innings to nab the win...won each of first 3 Double-A starts...recorded first 10-strikeouts game of career, June 21 at Reading...ERA was 3.20 at the end of July, but went 2-1 with a 2.49 ERA in August/September to cap Double-A season with 2.87...rated by Baseball America as Montreal's No. 2 prospect entering the season...following season, was rated by same publication as the No. 4 prospect in the Eastern League and the No. 7 prospect in Florida State League.

Combined on 13-5 record and a 3.14 ERA while pitching for both Savannah of the Single-A South Atlantic League and Brevard County...Named Expos Minor League Pitcher of the Year...Opened '03 with Savannah...Allowed 2 or fewer earned runs in 17 of 23 SAL starts...Was promoted to Florida State League in mid-August...Went 4-0 with a 0.72 ERA in 4 starts for Brevard County, fanning 23 and walking only one...Named #2 prospect in system by Baseball America.
