Described his plate approach in a 2021 interview with MLB.com: “I’ve always had a good eye at the plate, good zone awareness, but in years past I’ve felt like my body hasn’t been in a good position to put an ‘A swing’ on pitches in different zones...I really tried to fill those holes by creating a bigger, longer swing path that gets in the zone earlier and stays in the zone longer.”

Reached Triple-A for the first time...Finished fourth in the Double-A Central with an .893 OPS...Was named Double-A Central Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending July 11.

Did not play due to the cancellation of the minor league season.
