Made 20 starts across six different stints with SD’s Major League squad, going 4-7 with a 4.98 ERA (53 ER, 98 IP) and a 6.7% walk rate that was well south of the MLB league average (8.4%)...Made the Padres Opening Day roster for the Seoul Series in South Korea, but he did not pitch in either of the games vs. LAD…he did pitch in two exhibition games, retiring all THREE batters faced on 12 pitches (nine strikes) in the Mach 18 exhibition game vs. the LG Twins in Korea...in the second of two exhibition games vs. SEA on March 26 at Petco Park, he allowed one run across two IP, walking three with three strikeouts...Optioned to Triple-A El Paso as the Padres announced their 26-man home opener roster on March 28...Recalled Apr 20 from ELP for his second stint with SD and made his Padres debut with a start vs. TOR, allowing four runs (one ER) on five hits and one walk while striking out three in SD's 5-2 defeat...all four runs came in the first two innings, before he posted three scoreless frames in innings 3-5...Optioned to ELP on April 26 following his second start April 25 @ COL after a season-low 2.2 IP with four ER allowed on six hits in SD’s 10-9 defeat...Recalled from ELP for his 3rd stint with SD on May 5 with Joe Musgrove landing on the 15-day IL on May 5 (right elbow inflammation) and made three starts for SD from May 7-20...posted his first quality start in Game 2 of the May 20 doubleheader @ ATL behind a then career-high 101 pitches in SD's 3-0 defeat...optioned back to El Paso the following day on May 21...Recalled June 1 for his fourth stint with SD and made the start that day at Kaufmann Stadium in place of Musgrove, who landed back on the 15-day IL with right elbow inflammation…he got his first winning decision as a Padre, allowing 3 ER on 4 hits in SD’s 7-3 win...Musgrove did not return to game action until Aug. 12, allowing for Vasquez to make 12 consecutive starts from June 1-Aug. 8, going 3-3 with a 4.20 ERA (28 ER, 60 IP)… allowed three ER-or-fewer and two walks-or-fewer in 10 of the 12 starts, as well as completing at least 5.0 IP in 9 of the 12...Made his first of three scoreless starts for SD on June 22 vs. MIL, earning his second winning decision as a Padre behind five-shutout IP with 3 hits and three BB allowed in SD’s 6-4 win...Recorded career highs in IP (6.1) and total pitches (102) in SD’s 10-8 win July 3 vs. AZ...Completed a career-best six scoreless frames on 5 hits July 23 @ WSH in SD’s 4-0, shutout victory, earning the winning decision in his second half debut...Optioned to ELP Aug. 9 following his Aug. 8 start @ PIT, not factoring into SD’s 7-6, comeback victory (5.2 IP, 6 H, 3 ER)...Recalled for his 5th stint with SD Aug. 26 and made his 17th start of the season that night @ STL, earning his fourth and final win and 5th of 6th quality start in SD’s 7-4 win…allowed a season-high nine ER on 11 hits on Aug. 31 @ TB and was optioned back to ELP the following day (Sept. 1)...Recalled for his sixth stint of the season Sept. 28 and took a no-hitter in the 6th inning that night vs. AZ, who was still fighting for one of the two remaining wild-card spots…allowed a lead-off double in the 6th to Corbin Carrol to end his no-hit bid in SD’s 5-0, shutout victory…optioned back to ELP postgame, and did not appear on the Wild Card or NLDS rosters for SD...For SD, he went 1-3 with a 3.24 ERA (15 ER, 41.2 IP) in his eight starts at Petco Park compared to a 3-4 record and a 6.07 ERA (38 ER, 56.1 IP) in his 12 road starts...Among all ML pitchers who made at least 20 starts in '24, Vásquez's 1.29 GIDP/9 IP rate was highest among all NL hurlers and T-2nd with CLE's Logan Allen for second-highest in the Majors, trailing only HOU's Framber Valdez (1.63 GIDP/9)...After inducing a grand total of 0 GIDPs in 37.2 IP for NYY in his rookie 2013 campaign, he induced a staff-leading 14 in 98 IP for SD in ’24…his 1.29 GIDP ratio led the NL among all hurlers who made at least 20 starts, also ranking T-2nd in the Majors with CLE Logan Allen, behind only HOU Framber Valdez (1.63)...Per Statcast, he relied on six pitches: four seamer (28.5%), curveball (19.7%), sinker (15.7%), cutter (13.7%), changeup (12.4%) and sweeper (10.0%)...Utilized his curveball 19.7% of the time, his second-most used pitched, and he ranked in the 98th percentile league-wide in curveball spin rate (3,144 rpm)...opponents hit .234 against the pitch with a .283 xBA...Against his changeup, his .365 AVG against was third-highest in the Majors and the .615 opponent SLG was 6th-highest (min. 200 thrown)...Made 10 starts for ELP, going 2-6 with a 8.21 ERA (38 ER, 41.2 IP), .333 opp. AVG and 9.50 SO/9 IP ratio in the hitter friendly Pacific Coast League…he went 0-6 and ELP went 0-8 through his first eight starts before winning both of his final two starts, with him also getting the winning decision (Sept. 14 vs. Salt Lake and Sept. 20 @ Las Vegas – combined 1.64 ERA across 11 IP, 12-to-2 SO/BB ratio).

Spent the entire season with Double-A Somerset, going 2-7 with a 3.90 ERA (115.1IP, 106H, 56R/50ER, 41BB, 120K, 11HR) in 25 starts...Was tied for third among Yankees farmhands in games started, fifth in innings pitched and eighth in strikeouts...Was second in the Eastern League in ERA, fourth in opponents’ batting average, tied for fourth in games started, fifth in WHIP, eighth in innings pitched and ninth in strikeouts...Was named the Eastern League “Pitcher of the Week” from 5/9-15 after not allowing a hit over 5.2 scoreless innings on 5/13 at Altoona (2BB, 5K)...Following the season, was tabbed by Baseball America as the Yankees’ No. 9 prospect and labeled as having the “Best Curveball” among Yankees farmhands.

Combined with Low-A Tampa, High-A Hudson Valley and Double-A Somerset to go 8-4 with a 2.52 ERA (107.1IP, 91H, 47R/30ER, 38BB, 130K, 4HR) in 23 games (21 starts)…led all Yankees Minor Leaguers in ERA while ranking tied for fourth in starts, fifth in innings pitched and tied for fifth in wins...Began the year with Low-A Tampa, going 3-3 with a 2.34 ERA (50.0IP, 35H, 24R/13ER, 23BB, 58K, 2HR) in 13 games (11 starts)…was named the Low-A Southeast “Pitcher of the Week” for 7/5-11 after allowing just 2H over six scoreless innings (5K, 1HP) in his 7/9 start at Dunedin...Was promoted to Hudson Valley on 7/20, posting a 3-0 record with a 1.75 ERA (36.0IP, 33H, 8R/7ER, 8BB, 53K, 0HR) in six starts…earned High-A East “Pitcher of the Month” honors for August after going 2-0 with a 0.36 ERA (24.2IP, 1ER) and 36K in four starts with Hudson Valley...Was promoted to Double-A Somerset on 8/24, going 2-1 with a 4.22 ERA (21.1IP, 23H, 15R/10ER, 7BB, 19K, 2HR) and 19K in four starts.

Made his professional debut with the DSL Yankees and GCL Yankees West, going 1-1 with a 1.78 ERA (30.1IP, 16H, 8R/6ER, 12BB, 28K, 1HR) in nine games (seven starts)...Began the year with the DSL Yankees, going 1-0 with a 0.96 ERA (18.2IP, 6H, 4R/2ER, 6BB, 22K, 0HR) in six games (four starts)...Was transferred to the GCL Yankees West on 8/1 and went 0-1 with a 3.09 ERA (11.2IP, 10H, 4R/ER, 6BB, 6K, 1HR) in three starts.
