Full name is Reid Evan Gorecki... attended the University of Delaware... selected by the Cardinals in the 13th round of the 2002 First-Year Player Draft.
2009
Saw his first big league action, batting .200 with 6R and 3RBI in 31 games with Atlanta... had his contract purchased from Triple-A Gwinnett and made his Major League debut on 8/17 vs. Arizona, entering the game as a defensive replacement in LF (did not bat)... collected his first Major League hit with a ninth-inning RBI single off Sean Green on 8/19 at New York-NL... began the season with Gwinnett, batting .286 with 27 doubles, 9HR and 49RBI in 106 games, setting a career high in doubles... following the season, played for Mayos de Navojoa of the Mexican Pacific Winter League, hitting .250 (47-for-188) with 17SB in 53 games in the outfield.
2008
Signed with the Braves on 5/2 and was assigned to Double-A Mississippi on 5/10 where he batted .292 with 51R, 9 doubles, 10HR and 43RBI in 63 games... missed a month on the disabled list from 5/19-6/11 with a left hamstring strain... was named the Southern League "Hitter of the Week" for the period ending on 5/18, batting .423 (11-for-26) over the stretch... reached base safely via hit or walk in 15 straight games from 5/10-6/18... was promoted to Triple-A Richmond on 7/4 where he played in four games, batting .538 with 1RBI before being optioned back to Mississippi on 7/10... was placed back on the disabled list from 8/22 through the end of the season with a right hamstring strain... was activated for the playoffs and hit .158 with 3R... following the season, played for Mayos de Navojoa of the Mexican Pacific Winter League, batting .226 with 11 doubles, 2 triples, 4HR, 27RBI, 52BB and 19SB.

Split time between Double-A Springfield and the GCL Cardinals... in 10 games with the GCL Cardinals, hit .313 with 5 doubles and 5RBI... hit .237 in 24 games with Springfield with just one extra-base hit... had 8RBI and 20K with just 18H.

Combined to hit 17HR for Double-A Springfield and Triple-A Memphis, ranking sixth among all Cardinals minor leaguers... nine of his homers and 18 of his extra-base hits came in 24 April games... had an 11-game hitting streak from 4/9-20, batting .383 (18-for-47) during the span.

Combined to hit .244 (96-for-393) in 110 games with Single-A Palm Beach and Double-A Springfield... hit the game-tying home run in the top of the ninth inning in Game 5 of the Florida State League Championship as Palm Beach defeated Lakeland, 5-4, in 10 innings to clinch the League title.

Was named the Cardinals Minor League "Player of the Year," combining to bat .280 with 75R, 26 doubles, 8HR and 48RBI in 125 games with Single-A Palm Beach and Double-A Tennessee... ranked second in the FSL with 74R... following the season, played for Mesa in the Arizona Fall League, ranking sixth with a .363 (37-for-102) batting average in 26 games.

Hit .267 with 19 doubles, 15HR and 61RBI in 128 games for Single-A Peoria... batted .356 in June with 6HR and 21RBI... fashioned a 15-game hitting streak from 6/22-7/1 with 10 multi-hit games to raise his batting average from .251 to .296.
2002
Batted .281 with 55R, 8 doubles, 13 triples and 52RBI in 73 games for Single-A New Jersey... was selected to Baseball America's New York-Penn League All-Star team... led the league in runs scored and triples, ranked third in total bases (135) and RBI and ranked fourth in extra-base hits (29)... tripled in five straight games-hitting six triples total-from 8/29-9/1, also recording an RBI in each game.
