Terry Ronald Tiffee...married to Kelli, and the couple has one daughter and twin sons...graduated from Sylvan Hills High School (AR) in 1997, and followed his high school career with a two-year stint at Pratt Community College in Kansas...signed letter of intent to play baseball at LSU, but signed with Twins...participated on the 2008 US Olympic Baseball Team, which took home the bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics...was a member of the 2009 US team in the IBAF World Cup; he started 13 of 15 contests and was second on the squad, which won its second consecutive World Cup title, with a .357 average (20x56).
2011
Split season between Lancaster in independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in Yankees' system...Appeared in 52 regular season games with Lancaster, posting a .293 average (58x198) with 16 doubles, one triple, 13 home runs and 46 RBI. Despite playing in less than half of a season with Barnstormers, ranked fourth on Club in home runs and RBI and tied for fourth in doubles...Posted a season-high three hits, including a home run, on May 6 at Somerset. Went on to equal mark four more times over remainder of season...Homered twice on May 31 at Camden, driving in a season-high six runs. Also tallied multi-HR game on June 18 at York...In five Atlantic League postseason games, batted .381 (8x21) with two home runs and six RBI...On June 23, signed minor league contract with Yankees and reported to Scranton, where over course of 29 games batted .345 (38x110) with 12 doubles, three home runs and 13 RBI...Tallied at-least one hit in 23 of 29 games played, including a season-best stretch of seven-straight from June 28-July 4...Collected three hits in a game three times; June 24 at Durham, July 3 at Pawtucket and August 12 at Syracuse...On August 22, was released and returned to Lancaster to finish out season...Following Atlantic League season, played for Tiburones de la Guaira in the Venezuelan Winter League, where he hit .269 (18x67) with three doubles, a home run and nine RBI in 16 games.

The 2008 campaign saw both midseason and postseason Pacific Coast League All-Star honors after a season in which he hit .378 with 39 doubles, three triples, nine home runs and 69 RBI. Led PCL in average, ranked third in doubles and fourth in on-base percentage.
2007
On July 23, 2007, named International League Player of the Week after batting .462 (12x26) with five doubles, three home runs and 12 RBI...Named to both midseason and postseason Eastern League All-Star teams in 2004. Earned Twins' Minor League Player of the Month for August after batting .347 (43x124) with eight doubles, two triples, five home runs and 30 RBI. Also earned Twins' Minor League Player of the Week for August 2-8, batting .462 (12x26). Following the season, played for Grand Canyon in Arizona Fall League.
2006
Began the season at AAA Rochester but had two stints with Minnesota...Was hitting .095 through his first 5 games, then hit in 8 of 9 games, April 12-20, going 18-for-36 to raise his average to a season-high .351...Followed that with a 3-game, 1-for-14 stretch, before going on a season-best 7-game hitting streak, April 28-May 4, in which he hit .333 (10-30)...Batted .476 (10-21) over a 5-game span, May 20-25, capped by a 4-for-5 outing on May 25 at Columbus...Was batting .304 before going 0-for-4 on May 31 vs. Syracuse, to drop his average to .298...Did not play again before being recalled by the Twins on June 2...Homered on June 17 at Pittsburgh, his first HR at the big league level since 4/13/05, a span of 163 at-bats...Hit his 2nd homer and had a season-high 2 RBI on June 30 at Milwaukee...Was optioned back to Rochester on August 1...Appeared in Rochester's final 30 games and hit .227 (25-110) with 2 homers and 12 RBI...Went 2-for-5 with a season-best 5 RBI on August 7 vs. Pawtucket, with a grand slam and solo home run...Was his only 2-homer game...Was recalled on September 19 for the final two weeks of season...With Rochester, played 59 games at third base, 10 at DH and 9 at first base...With Minnesota, pinch-hit in 9 games and played 6 games at third base, 5 at DH and 3 at first base.
