Graduated from Chatfield High School in Littleton, CO...Attended Garden City Community College (KS) for his freshman and sophomore seasons before transferring to Austin Peay for his final two seasons...Tyler and his wife, Jennifer, were married on Nov. 14, 2020. Tyler Beede, a Giants teammate at the time, served as the officiant for the wedding...Tyler and his wife welcomed their first child, Jack Ryan Rogers, last April.

2022

Finished his fourth season in SF with 68 apps., tied for sixth in the National league with teammate RHP Camilo Doval...since 2020, Rogers’ 177 appearances are most in MLB...Scott Barlow is second with 172...Opposing batters’ average exit velocity off Rogers was 84.2 mph, second-lowest in MLB only to NYY’s Jonathan Loáisiga (83.9mph)...Had a 1.35 ERA (4er, 26.2ip) in his final 22 games (since Aug. 4) and lowered his ERA from 7.41 on May 24 to its final spot at 3.57...he pitched to a 2.45 ERA from May 28 to the end of the year to do so...Opponents hit .356 (26x73) off him with runners in scoring position...Posted a career best in HR/9 with 0.36 which is .20 lower than his previous best (0.56 in ‘21)...allowed three home runs in 75.2 innings...Walked a career-high 23 batters...his 7.2 walk percentage was also up from his career-best 4.0 mark last year...Made his second career Opening Day roster...On April 11 vs. San Diego, Tyler & Taylor both made appearances, marking the second time in MLB history that two twin brothers pitched in the same game and the first time for opposing teams....on July 31, 1956, Johnny & Eddie O’Brien, primarily position players for their careers, both pitched for PIT...Placed on the Paternity List on April 12...he and his wife Jennifer welcomed Jack Ryan into the world that morning in Evansville, Ind...missed three games and was reinstated April 15...On May 24 vs. NYM he allowed seven runs on seven hits in the 8th inning…became just the sixth Giants pitcher, and first reliever, to allow as many as seven earned runs while recording one out or fewer in the club’s San Francisco era...Madison Bumgarner (8 er vs. Twins in 2011) was the most recent before Rogers’ outing.

Finished his third season in SF with career bests in appearances (80), saves (13), innings pitched (81.0) and strikeouts (55)...Was one of the six SF relievers with 50 apps and a sub-3.00 ERA...His 80 appearances were most in the National League and second-most in MLB behind CLE’s Bryan Shaw (81)...his 80 outings were the most by a Giants reliever since Scott Eyre in 2005 (86)...Posted a 1.65 ERA (13er, 71.0ip) in his first 71 games of the season with batters hitting .225...had a 6.30 ERA (7er, 10.0ip) over his final nine outings of the season with batters hitting .349...Left-handers were just 25-for-140 (.179) off him with five extra-base hits...Posted a 1.44 BB/9.0ip ratio, eighth-lowest in the MLB among relievers...Kept the ball off the barrel with a 2% barrel %, which was in the top one percent of the league (Statcast)...Had a 57.6 groundball percentage, eighth highest in the NL among qualified relievers...Was 13-for-19 in save chances...When he appeared in the 8th inning, he posted a 1.24 ERA (7er, 50.2ip), 39 K, compared to a 5.24 ERA (13er, 22.1ip), eight K when he appeared in the 9th inning.

2020

Was one of the most used relievers in the bigs, appearing in 29 games, tied for third-most in MLB...In his second season he went 3-3 with a 4.50 ERA (14er, 28.0ip) along with 27 strikeouts and six walks...Allowed runs in six of his 29 appearances and had two outings where he combined to allow 10 of his 16 runs...On July 29, Rogers earned his first win of 2020 while his brother earned his first save for the Twins...according to Elias, the last time one player earned a win and his brother earned a save on the same day was Greg and Mike Maddux on July 16, 1998...Greg, pitching for the Braves, earned the win over Milwaukee while his brother, Mike, pitching for Montreal, picked up a save vs. Pittsburgh...On Sept. 23, he and his brother each earned relief wins to become the first set of twin brothers in MLB history to record a win on the same day...the last brothers to record a win on the same day were Jeff and Jered Weaver on May 7, 2010 (Elias).

2019

Selected from Triple-A Sacramento on August 27...had spent the season with the River Cats prior to his callup...In 17 appearances out of the Giants' bullpen he allowed two earned runs on 12 hits in 17.2 innings (1.02 ERA). Held opposing batters to a .185 clip, with lefties going 3-for-22 (.136) off him... Made his ML debut Aug. 27 and threw just 11 pitches, retiring all three Arizona batters faced on groundouts.
