Wilkin Ramos #28

Learned the game of baseball from his father, also Wilkin. His father played all positions but did not play professionally...Has one brother, Darwin, and one sister, Diana...Darwin is the younger brother and currently plays in the Seattle organization. He appeared in nine games last year for the DSL Mariners.

2025

Split the season between Double-A Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis in his second stint in the Pirates organization...Started the year with Altoona and went 3-2 with a 1.45 ERA (8 ER, 49.2 IP) with 53 strikeouts and a 0.95 WHIP in 35 games with the Curve...Ramos was a perfect 7-for-7 in save opportunities and held opponents to a .161 batting average...Promoted to Triple-A on Aug. 12...at the time of his promotion, his 1.45 ERA was fifth-best in all MiLB and third-lowest in Double-A...He also ranked among the top of Eastern League relief pitchers in appearances (3rd), strikeouts (10th), innings pitched (tied-third), and saves (tied-eighth) at the time he was promoted...Over his final 20 outings at Double-A (June 1-Aug. 9), Ramos was 2-1 with a 1.03 ERA (3 ER / 26.1 IP) with eight walks and 33 strikeouts...Made 12 appearances (one start) with the Indianapolis Indians, going 1-2 with a 6.60 ERA (11 ER, 15 IP) and 15 strikeouts...eight of his 11 earned runs came on his first five Triple-A outings...Did not allow a home run between May 7-Aug. 15 (38.1 IP)...Was one of just two relief pitchers to be named to the Eastern League Post-Season All-Star team...Following the season, he played nine games with the Gigantes del Cibao of the Dominican Winter League before being traded to the Leones del Escogido.

2024

Led all pitchers in the Mets system with 11 saves and ranked among leaders in appearances (41, third) and wins (6, tied-fourth)…Went 2-1 with a 1.65 ERA in 23 games with Double-A Binghamton. His nine saves with the Rumble Ponies were fourth-most in the Eastern League...Appeared in 10 games with the Gigantes del Cibao of the Dominican Winter League (8 IP), posting a 2.25 ERA with six strikeouts. 

2023

Promoted to Double-A for the first time in his career and went 2-0 with a 1.47 ERA (3 ER, 18.1 IP) with 24 strikeouts in 12 games with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies...Did not give up a home run all season (57.2 IP), becoming one of just four MiLB pitchers to throw as many innings without surrendering a homer...Ranked among all Mets farmhands in wins (five, T-10th) and appearances (33, T-10th)...Played for the Criollos de Caguas of the Puerto Rican Professional Baseball League following the season. Was teammates with current Giants IF Christian Koss. 

2022

Spent the season with Single-A Bradenton and went 4-1 with a 3.88 ERA with the Marauders. His 37 appearances were the second-most in the Florida State League...Selected by the Mets in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 Draft in December.
