2021

Spent most of his season in the Rockies organization at Triple-A Albuquerque, going 1-0 with a 2.48 ERA (8ER/29IP) in 30 appearances...picked up five saves, while striking out 41 in his 29.0 innings...limited Triple-A lefties to a .152 batting average... Was added to the Major League roster for a three-week stint from July 16-Aug. 5...made four appearances for the Rockies, posting a 3.00 ERA (1ER/3IP)...allowed a solo homer to Max Muncy for his only run allowed on the season... Outrighted off the Rockies roster on Aug. 5 and finished his season at Albuquerque...elected free agency in November.

2020

Did not appear in an official game due to the cancellation of the minor league season... Began the year at minor league Spring Training with the Rockies and made three appearances for Colorado (0ER/1.2IP) in Spring Training games... Following the Spring Training shutdown, was officially released on July 1...re-signed by Colorado to a minor league contract on Aug. 27.

2019

Spent time with four organizations, seeing MLB time with Los Angeles-NL, Seattle and Toronto... combined to make 28 appearances between the three teams, going 2-0 with a 5.00 ERA (10ER/18IP)... Began the season with Seattle before being claimed off of waivers by Toronto on May 23…granted free agency on June 3 and signed as a Minor League free agent with Los Angeles-NL on June 12…purchased by St. Louis from Los Angeles-NL on July 29.

2018

Made 17 relief appearances with the Dodgers after being claimed off of waivers from Colorado on July 11.

2017

Was acquired via trade from the Chicago Cubs on June 26 in exchange for right-handed pitcher Matt Carasiti and made nine appearances over three stints with the Rockies ... Scoreless in eight of 10 appearances with the Rockies ... Scoreless in six appearances after his last recall on Sept. 1 … two hits and no walks with five strikeouts over that span ... Did not allow a hit to a left-handed batter (0-for-15) … was the only player in MLB to face at least 15 lefthanded hitters and not allow a hit ... Allowed a season-high three earned runs on Aug. 5 vs. Philadelphia, his most since allowing a career-high six runs Aug. 30, 2014 at St. Louis ... Made one appearance with the Cubs on May 22, pitching 0.2 scoreless innings ... Was 2-2 with a 2.45 ERA (40.1 IP, 11 ER) in 29 appearances between Albuquerque and Triple-A Iowa in the Cubs organization … allowed three runs in 12 appearances with Albuquerque with four walks and 15 strikeouts.

2016

Zac missed the entire season with an injured left shoulder that necessitated debridement surgery on May 13 ... originally landed on the 60-day disabled list, February 26 ... activated from the D.L., November 7, then declared a free agent, December 2 ... signed a minor league deal with Chicago with an invite to major league Spring Training, December 9.

2015

Zac Rosscup went 2-1 with a 4.39 ERA (13 ER/26.2 IP) in 33 games across three stints with the Cubs … had six holds, struck out 29 batters and walked 13 … held lefties to a .158 average (6-for-38) while righties batted .308 (20-for-65). Allowed one or zero runs in 30 of his 33 outings. Was recalled for the first time, April 14, and went 1-0 with a two holds and a 0.93 ERA (1 ER/9.2 IP) in his first nine relief appearances. Pitched a career-high 2.0-scoreless frames, April 18 vs. San Diego, fanning two batters and allowing just one hit. Was placed on the 15-day disabled list, June 17, with left shoulder inflammation … made rehab outings with Rookie League Mesa, Double-A Tennessee and Iowa before being activated and optioned to Iowa, August 13. Was recalled for a second time, August 24, and appeared in just one game before being optioned to Iowa, August 27 … was recalled for the final time, September 7. With Iowa, posted no record with a 4.76 ERA (6 ER/11.1 IP) in 11 relief outings, fanning 20 hitters in 11.1 innings pitched. Fanned at least one batter in each of his 11 outings at Iowa … allowed just one hit and no runs in his final five outings (6.0 IP), August 18-September 5. Including rehab outings, posted a 4.02 ERA (7 ER/15.2 IP) in 16 minor league games, striking out 32 batters and walking six.

Zac made 18 relief appearances in seven stints with the Cubs, and went 1-0 with a 9.45 ERA (14 ER/13.1 IP)...Spent most of the year with Triple-A Iowa, and pitched to a 2-0 record with four saves and a 2.10 ERA (7 ER/30.0 IP) in 29 games...Struck out 21 batters in 13.1 big league innings, good for an average of 14.2 strikeouts per 9.0 innings ... walked 12 batters...Retired 12 of 18 first batters faced with the Cubs...Stranded 10 of 13 inherited runners...Taking away the six runs allowed without retiring a batter, August 30 in St. Louis, pitched to a 5.40 ERA (8 ER/13.1 IP) in his 17 other big league outings...Tossed a career-high 1.2 innings of relief in his season debut, April 16 at the Yankees (gm. 2)...Was the team's 26th man for the twinbill...Landed on the 15-day disabled list, May 14 (retro to May 10), with left shoulder soreness ... included a rehabilitation assignment with Iowa...Activated from the disabled list, June 14, and optioned back to Iowa...Recalled to Chicago for the final time, September 2, and pitched to a 3.60 ERA (2 ER/5.0 IP) in seven games...Recorded his first major league win, September 23, vs. St. Louis...Tossed a scoreless inning in the team's 4-3 win...In 29 games with Iowa, walked 15 and struck out 38...Opponents batted .173 (18-for-104)...Did not allow a home run at the Triple-A level...Pitched to a 0.71 ERA (1 ER/12.2 IP) in his final 14 games with Iowa from June 29-August 19.

Zac was a September call-up with Chicago, and in his first major league action he pitched to a 1.35 ERA (1 ER/6.2 IP) in 10 relief appearances … combined to go 2-2 with three saves and a 2.12 ERA (12 ER/51.0 IP) in 46 relief appearances between Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa to begin the year ... was his second season pitching primarily out of the bullpen... Did not allow a run in nine of 10 relief appearances with the big league club … walked seven and struck out seven... Held big league left-handed hitters to a .100 batting average (1-for-10), while limiting righties to a .154 mark (2-for-13)... Joined the big league club, September 3… made his major league debut later that day vs. Miami, working 0.2-scoreless innings while striking out one... Between Double-A and Triple-A, struck out 83 batters in 51.0 innings, an average of 14.6 strikeouts per 9.0 innings, while limiting foes to a .195 batting average (36-for-185)... Allowed just two home runs in 51.0 minor league innings... Began the season with Tennessee, going 2-1 with three saves and a 2.49 ERA (12 ER/43.1 IP) in 37 outings to earn his first-ever promotion to Triple-A... Promoted to Iowa, August 9, and did not allow an earned run in nine outings for the I-Cubs, striking out 17 in 7.2 innings.

2012

Spent the first two months of the season on SIngle-A Daytona's disabled list, before returning in June and going 2-1 with a 3.45 ERA (12 ER/31.1 IP) and 45 strikeouts in 15 games (one start) between Double-A Tennessee, Single-A Peoria and Rookie League Mesa... Placed on Daytona's seven-day D.L., April 5-June 24, with left elbow tendinitis... Struck out five hitters in back-to-back relief appearances, June 30 and July 5 … finished the week with 10 strikeouts in 5.0 innings... Promoted to Tennessee, July 7 … went 0-1 with a 4.84 ERA (12 ER/22.1 IP) in 11 games (one start) … struck out 29 hitters and walked 19... Struck out a season-best six hitters in 3.2 innings, July 27 at Jacksonville... Tossed a season-high 5.0 innings of relief, August 2 vs. Pensacola, allowing one run on two hits while fanning four... Held left-handed hitters to a .143 average (3-for-21) compared to a .193 mark (11-for-57) against righties at the Double-A level.

2011

In his first season with the Cubs organization, spent the entire campaign at Single-A Daytona, going 4-2 with a 2.54 ERA (14 ER/49.2 IP) with 50 strikeouts in 11 games (nine starts) during an injury-shortened season... Traded to the Cubs in January of 2011 with pitcher Matt Garza and outfielder Fernando Perez as part of an eight-player deal... Struck out a season-high nine hitters in 5.0 innings, June 16 at Brevard County... Did not allow a home run in his first 27.0 innings of work … finished the year surrendering four homers in 49.2 innings... Placed on Daytona's seven-day D.L., June 23-September 12, with a left shoulder sprain, ending his season.

2010

Appeared in 12 games (eight starts) with Single-A Hudson Valley and Tampa Bay's Gulf Coast Rookie League team, posting a 3-1 record with a 2.64 ERA (13 ER/44.1 IP) and 41 strikeouts... Began the campaign with the Gulf Coast Rays, logging a 1.04 ERA (1 ER/8.2 IP) in three games (one start)... Promoted to Hudson Valley, July 17, going 3-1 with a save and a 3.03 ERA (12 ER/35.2 IP) in nine games (seven starts)... Struck out 35 batters while not allowing a home run in 35.2 innings with Hudson Valley... Struck out a career-high 10 hitters in 5.2 innings, August 23 vs. Brooklyn.

2009

Went 3-4 with a 2.68 ERA (12 ER/40.1 IP) and 27 strikeouts in 10 games (nine starts) in his first professional season with Rookie League Princeton... Earned his first professional victory, July 28 at Bluefield, allowing two unearned runs in 5.0 innings... Did not allow a home run in 40.1 innings.
