As he seeks a spot in the 2020 rotation, Mahle did well on Wednesday during a 3-2 win over the Cubs in 10 innings. He gave up only one hit and one run with two walks and three strikeouts over six innings. He would've stayed in longer had his club not needed a pinch-hitter in a tight game.
