All Reading Club participants are eligible for discounted tickets for the Rangers home game with the Los Angeles Angels on Friday, August 17. Students should check with their local library for specifics on how to earn the discounted ticket, which is priced at just $6.00 per student. Family members and friends may buy additional tickets at a discounted price for the August 17 game if purchased by mail in advance by Wednesday, August 15.

It was in 1969 that The Very Hungry Caterpillar was designed, illustrated, and written by Eric Carle. The Rangers are partnering with The World of Eric Carle, and all youngsters who complete their logs and attend the August 17 Summer Reading Club game will receive a special Hungry Caterpillar statue.

Libraries in the following municipalities are participating in the 2018 Summer Reading Program: Arlington, Azle, Bedford, Burleson, Carrollton, Cedar Hill, Cockrell Hill, Corsicana, Crowley, Dallas, Duncanville, Euless, Farmers Branch, Flower Mound, Grand Prairie, Grapevine Hurst, Irving, Lewisville, Mansfield, Paris, Rowlett, Saginaw, Southlake, and Watagua.
