The Kansas City Royals will host the Tampa Bay Rays (May 14-16) and New York Yankees (May 18-20).

The Kansas City Royals will host the Tampa Bay Rays (May 14-16) and New York Yankees (May 18-20). A few programs will take place outside of the stadium throughout the homestand including Fire Safety Day with third baseman Mike Moustakas (May 17), Cops are Topps press conference (May 18) and MLB Umpire Clinic (May 19).

Monday, May 14 -- Tampa Bay Rays vs. Royals, 6:05 p.m.
•    Breast Cancer Awareness -- The Royals will host the MLB Honorary Batgirl Mila Ellsworth from Olathe, Kan. The Honorary Bat Girl program, part of MLB's "Going to Bat Against Breast Cancer" initiative, honors a person in each of the 30 team markets who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to battling breast cancer. Ellsworth will join the Royals to watch batting practice, be honored during the pregame ceremony and enjoy the game in the Konica Minolta Diamond Club.  
Tuesday, May 15 -- Tampa Bay Rays vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
•    Dream Factory -- Throughout the season, the Royals grant the wishes of Dream Factory children. These youngsters, who face life-altering challenges, will meet Royals players, watch batting practice from the dugout and enjoy the game and refreshments. Their Royals experience appears on the KMBC-TV (Channel 9) 10 p.m. newscast. 
Wednesday, May 16 -- Tampa Bay Rays vs. Royals, 1:15 p.m.
Thursday, May 17 -- Off Day
•    First Safety Day -- Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas will join The Hartford and the Kansas City Fire Department in teaching children about fire safety. Children in kindergarten through third grade from Troost Elementary will get to see a simulated fire and smoke demonstration in The Hartford's Fire Safety House, meet local firefighters, tour a fire truck and try on gear. They will also be deputized as Junior Fire Marshals. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Troost Elementary located at 1215 East 59th St., Kansas City, Mo. The Hartford will donate a total of $20,000 to Kansas City Public Schools and the Kansas City Fire Department for fire safety education as part of the Junior Fire Marshal program.
Friday, May 18 -- New York Yankees vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
•    Cops are Topps Program Announcement -- A short press conference will be held announcing the return of the Cops are Topps baseball card program. For the second year, KCP&L joined Royals Charities in creating the Royals Topps baseball cards. The intention of the program is to foster positive interactions between area police officers and members of the community. Students from Phyllis Wheatley Elementary School will receive baseball cards from Kansas City, Mo. Police officers. The press conference will start at 1 p.m. and take place at the elementary school located at 2415 Agnes Ave., Kansas City, Mo. 64127. For more information about the program, visit www.royals.com/cops
•    KCP&L VIP Kids -- The Royals and KCP&L will host foster care children and their families to select games throughout the season. Each child from KVC Health Systems will receive complimentary tickets, a special t-shirt and a free meal courtesy of ARAMARK and Papa John's Pizza. The special guests will also participate in a meet-and-greet with a Royals player in the Royals Interview Room at approx. 5:30 p.m. 
•    Green Team -- During select games throughout the season, local organizations and volunteers who sign up to be a part of the Royals Green Team, sponsored by Republic Services, will help collect aluminum and recyclable plastics at the stadium gates as well as throughout multiple innings of the game. •    50/50 Raffle presented by Edelman & Thompson -- A portion of the proceeds from the nightly Royals Charities fundraiser will benefit Giving the Basics. The organization will also distribute information outside the Royals Charities headquarters.  www.royals.com/5050
Saturday, May 19 -- New York Yankees vs. Royals, 6:15 p.m.
•    MLB Umpire Clinic -- Major League Baseball will host a free one-day Umpire Clinic from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy. The camp is part of a series of events to offer training for umpires of all levels, from beginners to seasoned veteran umpires. Participants will learn from former MLB umpires, current MLB Supervisors and Observers including Charlie Reliford, Ed Rapuano, Rich Rieker and others. The pro-instructors will work with candidates on balls and strikes, base work, situation management, and much more. Walkups are welcome, but those that are interested are encouraged to register at www.mlbuc.com.   
•   Kennedys to host Group from Surviving Spouse And Family Endowment Fund (SAFE) -- Each Saturday, pitcher Ian Kennedy and his wife, Allison, will host a group from the Kansas City area in a fully-catered Dugout Suite. This day, guests from the Surviving Spouse And Family Endowment Fund (SAFE) will meet Kennedy prior to the game and receive a special gift from the family.   
Sunday, May 20 -- New York Yankees vs. Royals, 1:15 p.m.
