Bob Stamps Gameday Associate of the Year Award

Ted Maxwell is the 2026 Bob Stamps Gameday Associate of the Year. Ever since Ted joined the Royals organization in 2022, he has been turning nights at the ballpark into unforgettable memories. When fans were asked who makes their experience at The K truly special, Ted’s name came up again and again. Fans described him as a "ray of sunshine" with an infectious energy—which many have probably witnessed during his legendary air guitar segments on CrownVision! Whether he’s rocking out for the big screen, keeping the Craft & Draft area buzzing, or helping guests with mobility challenges, Ted has a rare gift for making everyone feel like they matter.

That deep compassion comes naturally to Ted. As a special education teacher, he spends his entire life serving others, and that exact same heart shines through every single game day at The K. Ted embodies the true spirit of Royals baseball.

Norma is the definition of what makes a ballpark experience memorable. As a loge usher for the Royals for 21 seasons, Norma goes above and beyond to make every fan feel welcome, valued, and at home. Whether it’s greeting guests with her warm smile, helping families find their seats, or making sure longtime season-ticket holders feel appreciated, Norma treats everyone like they’re part of the Royals family. Her professionalism shines through in how seamlessly she manages the busy flow of fans, but it’s her kindness and genuine enthusiasm that leave a lasting impression. She’s quick with a helpful tip, a friendly conversation, or a bit of encouragement to make the game day atmosphere special. For many fans, Norma has become as much a part of the Royals tradition as the game itself—her presence makes the ballpark feel like a second home. Reliable, upbeat, and always attentive, she embodies the spirit of Kansas City hospitality and creates an unforgettable experience for those lucky enough to cross her path. Quite simply, Norma isn’t just an usher—she’s one of the Royals’ greatest ambassadors.

Aaron Lewis is an Usher on 3rd base side and it’s his first season with the Royals. Aaron brought energy, a fire and a passion to the usher position for the 2022 season that has flooded our offices with calls of praise from not only fans but fellow employees and front office staff. Aaron prides himself in getting every person in his section involved in the game whether that be a Happy Birthday chant, a rally cry and his famous 2 claps and a Ric Flair woooooooo. All of the energy he has brought to the stadium this year has led to season ticket members renewing their tickets, wanting to switch sections to be with Aaron, or even visiting fans asking to sit in the area to be with the Ric Flair Usher.
