Royals in the Community

Kansas City Royals’ Community Impact department exists to serve and unite our community through the power of sport. Major League Baseball continues to view the Royals as a model for others, naming us a finalist for the third year in a row for the Allan H. Selig Award for Philanthropic Excellence. We also won the award in 2021. In 2025, we invested over $6.3 million dollars into the community from the Kansas City Royals and The Royals Foundation. We do this by leveraging the Club’s unique assets and capabilities including charitable grants and in-kind donations; employee, player and alumni community engagement; gameday and community activations and experiences, and more to make a positive and sustainable impact in KC and beyond. Our work is amplified by The Kansas City Royals Foundation and Kansas City Urban Youth Academy.
