The Minnesota Twins organization focuses on giving back to the community during the holiday season with an annual Holiday Week of Giving. In 2017, the week of activities will run from Monday, December 11 through Friday, December 15. Each day, Twins front office staff will participate in several events benefiting a variety of community causes.
Day 1: The Twins work with The Sheridan Story - an organization helping to fulfill the weekend hunger gap for students.
Day 2: Rod Carew and the Twins front office staff help spread some holiday cheer at Hope Lodge in Minneapolis.
Day 3: The Minnesota Twins' front office staff served meals to our neighbors at Sharing & Caring Hands.
Day 4: Justin Morneau, Rod Carew and front office staff greet and serve meals to homeless veterans at Thursday's event.
Day 5: On the last day of Twins Holiday Week of Giving, front office staff are tutors for a day at Reading Partners Twin Cities.
On the first day of Holiday Week of Giving, Twins front office staff volunteered at the Harbor Light Center.
On Day 2, Twins front office staff baked cookies and mentored students at Cookie Cart.
On day 3 of Holiday Week of Giving, Twins alum and World Series champion Scott Leius and the front office staff packed food boxes at The Food Group.
On the fourth day, the Twins' front office staff volunteered at the Twin Cities Animal Humane Society.
On the last day of our Holiday Week of Giving, Twins staff sorts school supplies at the Kids in Need Foundation.
