Made his professional debut, going 7-4 with one complete game and a 3.22 ERA (103.1 IP, 65 H, 43 R/37 ER, 46 BB, 139 K, three HR) in 22 combined starts with High-A Hudson Valley and Double-A Somerset…began the season with High-A Hudson Valley, going 4-3 with a 3.51 ERA (66.2 IP, 43 H, 30 R/26 ER, 33 BB, 94 K, two HR) in 15 starts…was promoted to Double-A Somerset on 8/5 and went 3-1 with one complete game (5 IP) and a 2.70 ERA (36.2 IP, 22 H, 13 R/11 ER, 13 BB, 45 K, one HR) in seven starts…ranked among Yankees farmhands in strikeouts (third), starts (tied for seventh) and innings pitched (eighth)…following the season, was named by Baseball America as the No. 5 prospect in the Yankees organization and was named by the publication as having the “Best Slider” among Yankees farmhands.
