Angels second baseman David Fletcher and Dodgers outfielder AJ Pollock have been named the Players of the Week presented by Chevrolet.

Fletcher hit safely in all six games last week, including two four-hit efforts. Overall, he posted a .593 average (16-for-27) with two homers -- his first two of the year -- two doubles, seven RBIs and a 1.481 OPS.

The 27-year-old is on a 24-game hitting streak dating back to June 13.

The Halos have now had four of the past five American League Player of the Week Award winners -- Max Stassi won it for the week of June 13, and Shohei Ohtani won it for the weeks of June 20 and July 4.

As for the Dodgers, Pollock is their first National League Player of the Week Award winner since Corey Seager in 2019.

The outfielder hit .391 with four homers, three doubles and a 1.505 OPS in six games last week. Pollock actually started off the week 0-for-8, but he went 9-for-15 in his final four games. He reached base in all six trips to the plate and hit two solo homers in the Dodgers’ 22-1 rout over the D-backs on Saturday.

While Fletcher is a first-time winner of the Player of the Week Award, Pollock has previously won the award four times, although this is his first as a member of the Dodgers.
