Angels agree to terms with José Quintana

ANAHEIM – The Angels today have agreed to terms on a one-year, $8 million contract with LHP José Quintana.

Quintana, 31, owns an 83-77 record with a 3.73 ERA (1495 IP – 619 ER) across 254 career games (247 starts) in his nine Major League seasons with the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs. Since 2013, he ranks in the Top-10 among left-handed pitchers in starts (2nd, 224), innings pitched (4th, 1352), strikeouts (7th, 1225) and wins (8th, 77).

A native of Arjona, Colombia, Quintana was selected as a 2016 American League All-Star and is one of two Major League pitchers to start at least 31 games each year from 2013-19, along with Jon Lester.
