What is Cubs Convention?

Cubs Con is an annual three-day event that brings together the best fans in professional sports along with Cubs players, coaches, alumni and front office. The weekend is full of festivities, including discussions, autograph sessions and photo opportunities, interactive experiences and kid-friendly programs.

Where does Cubs Convention happen?

Cubs Convention will take place at the Sheraton Grand Chicago (301 E. North Water St.) Friday, January 12, through Sunday, January 14.

Where can I find the 2024 Cubs Convention schedule?

Program details will be shared at Cubs.com/Convention, so be sure to check back as the event date gets closer. Here’s a tip for out-of-town guests: festivities typically begin on Friday afternoon and continue through mid-day Sunday.

Is Cubs Convention for all ages?

Yes! Fans of any age can join in the fun. Ticket prices for different ages can be found here.

What forms of payment are accepted at Cubs Convention?

Cubs Con is a cashless event, with the exception of coat check at the Sheraton Grand Chicago and MLB on-site autograph authentication which only accept cash payments. All major credit cards and debit cards are accepted for merchandise, Authentics auctions, food and beverage and any other items you may purchase at the Sheraton Grand Chicago during Cubs Con weekend.

Is Cubs Convention accessible?

There will be designated ADA seating at all scheduled sessions in the main ballroom.

There is an ADA elevator on the east side of the hotel that goes to all four floors of Cubs Convention.

Guest room elevators go to lobby and ballroom levels and there is an elevator from the parking garage to the hotel lobby.

Will there be a space for nursing mothers at Cubs Convention?

Nursing mothers seeking a private, quiet accommodation are welcome to use one of two nursing rooms located on the east side of the Sheraton Grand Chicago Lobby Level, just north of the STH Lounge entrance.

How can I register my child for the Sunday youth baseball and softball clinic?

Cubs fans who purchase an all-access weekend pass by Thursday, November 9, will receive an email on how to register their child(ren) who attend Cubs Convention for the youth baseball and softball clinic, taking place Sunday, January 14, 2024. Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional details regarding the youth clinic will be shared with purchasers at a later date.

What does the youth baseball and softball clinic entail?

Returning for a second year will be the popular youth baseball and softball clinic, where young ballplayers can learn the basics of the game from current and former Cubs players, as well as coaches from the Cubs youth outreach program, Cubs RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities).

If I already purchased a hotel package, will I have the opportunity to register for the Sunday youth baseball and softball clinic?

Yes, Cubs Con purchasers, both weekend pass and hotel package buyers who purchase by Thursday, November 9, will receive an email on how to register their young ballplayer(s) for the clinic. Please note spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional details regarding the youth clinic will be shared with purchasers at a later date.

TICKETING QUESTIONS

What types of Cubs Convention passes are available and how do I buy them?

Immerse yourself in the festivities and stay at the Sheraton Grand Chicago by purchasing a hotel package which includes weekend passes or purchase a weekend pass for three-day access.

If single-day Cubs Convention passes are made available at a later date, it will be announced on the Cubs website and via email.

How and when will I receive my Cubs Convention passes?

Your mobile tickets will be delivered via the MLB Ballpark app and will be scanned directly from your mobile device at Registration.

Please note passes are not transferrable and screenshots will not be accepted. At registration, ticketed guests also will receive an official 2024 Cubs Convention lanyard that should be worn at all times so that event staff can easily identify you as a paid ticket holder.

If you purchase weekend passes via the Cubs, your Cubs Convention passes will be automatically delivered to your MLB Ballpark app shortly following your purchase. If you purchase a hotel package, your Cubs Convention passes will be delivered to your MLB Ballpark app within two to three weeks of your purchase date. Can I share my Cubs Convention pass with another fan?

Cubs Con passes are nontransferable. Please do not remove your lanyard until you are ready to conclude your Cubs Con visit.

Can I get a kids pass included in my Cubs Convention hotel package purchase?

Hotel packages already include significantly discounted weekend passes, providing the best value in price for all ages.

Can I get a refund if I am no longer able to use my convention tickets?

Hotel reservations are fully prepaid and nonrefundable. No refunds or exchanges are given for Cubs Convention tickets.

If you purchase weekend passes via the Cubs directly, your Cubs Convention passes will be automatically delivered to your MLB Ballpark app shortly following your purchase. If you purchase a hotel package, your Cubs Convention passes will be delivered to your MLB Ballpark app within 2-3 weeks of your purchase date.

How will I get my tickets if my hotel package was not purchased with the same email address I use for the MLB Ballpark app?
