Garrett Crochet, Red Sox

The Red Sox placed Crochet on the 15-day injured list on April 29 with left shoulder inflammation.

Yusei Kikuchi, Angels

Kikuchi exited his start against the White Sox on April 29 with left shoulder tightness after throwing a warmup pitch before the third inning. He said he only felt pain while throwing fastballs but wasn't sure if he'll be able to make his next start.

Dansby Swanson, Alex Bregman, Justin Steele, Daniel Palencia, Ethan Roberts and Jordan Wicks, Cubs

Swanson exited the Cubs' April 28 game in San Diego before the third inning with a left glute cramp and was held out of the lineup April 29.

Steele (left elbow surgery) felt discomfort during a recent bullpen session, and a checkup with Dr. Keith Meister showed a flexor strain. Steele has been shut down from throwing until he's asymptomatic and will be rechecked in a month.

Palencia (left lat strain) had a light "touch and feel" bullpen session on April 25 and a higher-intensity mound workout on April 28, plus an agility/running test.

Roberts (right middle finger laceration) had rehab outings for Triple-A Iowa on April 25 and April 28.

Wicks (left forearm radial nerve irritation) threw 57 pitches in two innings, allowing six runs, in his third rehab outing with Triple-A Iowa on April 28.

Giancarlo Stanton, Jasson Domínguez, Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodón, Angel Chivilli and Anthony Volpe, Yankees

Stanton was placed on the 10-day IL on April 28 (retroactive to April 25) with a low-grade right calf strain.

Domínguez exited on April 29 against the Rangers shortly after being hit on the left elbow by a pitch in the top of the fourth inning. X-rays taken at Globe Life Field were “inconclusive,” according to Domínguez, who said he will undergo a CT scan on April 30 in New York.

Cole (Tommy John surgery recovery) made his third rehab start on April 29, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out three over 5 2/3 innings for Double-A Somerset.

Rodón (left elbow surgery recovery) will make his next rehab start with Double-A Somerset on April 30.

Chivilli (right shoulder discomfort) will not throw for approximately three weeks. Manager Aaron Boone said on April 28 that there is “acute and chronic stuff going on there” that will require rest.

Volpe (left shoulder surgery recovery) played the second game of a doubleheader with Double-A Somerset on April 28-29. He could be activated May 1, although that decision hasn’t been made yet.

Luis Robert Jr., Kodai Senga and Juan Soto, Mets

Robert (lower back tightness) was out of the lineup April 29 for the third straight game. He underwent an MRI exam and could require a stint on the injured list.

Senga was placed on the 15-day IL on April 28 with lumbar spine inflammation. He will be shut down from throwing for 7-10 days before the Mets re-evaluate.

Soto is currently limited to DH duties due to forearm tightness.

Javier Báez and Casey Mize, Tigers

Báez was placed on the 10-day injured list on April 29 with a right ankle sprain. He was carted off the field on April 28 in Atlanta after suffering the injury running to first base on a groundout.

Mize was placed on the 15-day injured list on April 29 with a right adductor strain after exiting his April 28 start in the third inning.

Matt Brash and Brendan Donovan, Mariners

Brash left the Mariners' April 29 game in Minnesota due to right side discomfort after throwing just two pitches. He will be evaluated by team doctors during Seattle's April 30 off-day, and an IL stint will likely be considered.

Donovan (left groin muscle strain) is expected to be activated during the Mariners' upcoming May 1-6 homestand.

Spencer Strider, Ha-Seong Kim and Sean Murphy, Braves

Strider (left oblique strain) is slated to make his season debut on May 3 against the Rockies.

Kim (torn tendon in right middle finger) began a rehab assignment with Double-A Columbus on April 29. He went 1-for-2 and stole a base while playing five innings at shortstop.

Murphy (right hip labral tear) has gone 5-for-13 with Triple-A Gwinnett over his past three rehab games. His rehab assignment will expire after May 3.

Brandon Nimmo and Wyatt Langford, Rangers

Nimmo left the Rangers' April 29 game in the fifth inning with right hamstring tightness. Manager Skip Schumaker called Nimmo day to day, although Nimmo said he’s confident he’ll be able to play May 1 in Detroit.

Manager Skip Schumaker said Langford (Grade 1 right flexor strain) will likely be activated the weekend of May 2-3 in Detroit.

Trevor Rogers, Orioles

Rogers was placed on the 15-day injured list on April 29 with an illness.

Jeremiah Estrada and Griffin Canning, Padres

Estrada (right elbow tendinitis) began a rehab stint on April 24 and has made two scoreless appearances.

Canning (left Achilles tear) has made five rehab appearances with Triple-A El Paso, including five innings of one-run ball on April 28. He will likely need at least one more rehab start but could be approaching a return.

José Berríos, Max Scherzer and Addison Barger, Blue Jays

Berríos (right elbow stress fracture) made what could be his final rehab outing on April 28 with Triple-A Buffalo, allowing five runs over four innings.

The Blue Jays placed Scherzer on the 15-day IL with right forearm tendinitis and left ankle inflammation on April 27. He is not expected to require any further testing and will be shut down for 5-7 days before being re-evaluated.

Barger (left ankle sprain) is scheduled to run the bases on April 30 and could begin his rehab assignment soon.

Josh Hader, Jeremy Peña and Tatsuya Imai, Astros

Hader (left biceps tendinitis) threw live BP on April 28 and should have one more session before beginning a rehab assignment

Peña (Grade 1 right hamstring strain) faced Hader in live BP on April 28 and should begin a rehab assignment shortly.

Imai (right arm fatigue) made his first rehab start on April 28 for Double-A Corpus Christi, allowing six runs in two innings. He struck out two and walked three.

Ryan Bergert and Jonathan India, Royals

Bergert underwent season-ending right UCL reconstruction surgery on April 29.

India (left shoulder subluxation) underwent labral repair surgery on April 28 and will miss the rest of the 2026 season.

Tyler Soderstrom, J.T. Ginn and Max Muncy, Athletics

Soderstrom was out of the lineup April 29 after leaving the A's game on April 28 following a diving attempt in the outfield. Soderstrom is dealing with whiplash, according to manager Mark Kotsay, but isn't expected to be out long term.

Ginn, who exited his April 26 start with right arm soreness, is feeling better and will make his May 1 start against the Guardians.

Muncy was placed on the 10-day injured list on April 28, retroactive to April 26, with a fractured fifth metacarpal in his left hand.

Eugenio Suárez, Hunter Greene, Caleb Ferguson and Nick Lodolo, Reds

Suárez (left oblique strain) hopes to travel with the Reds on their May 1-7 road trip through Pittsburgh and Chicago and get another scan to see where he stands in the healing process. He has been running to stay in shape.

Greene (right elbow surgery) is ahead of schedule in his recovery, having begun a throwing program as of April 28. He could have his first bullpen session as soon as late May.

Ferguson (mild right oblique strain) threw 14 pitches (seven strikes) in a rehab appearance for Double-A Chattanooga on April 28. He will throw again May 1 as an opener before throwing out of the bullpen the week of May 4.

Lodolo (blister on left index finger) will make his next rehab start on May 2 with Triple-A Louisville.

Jackson Chourio, Andrew Vaughn, Angel Zerpa, Christian Yelich and Quinn Priester, Brewers

Chourio (fractured left hand) and Vaughn (fractured left hamate) are expected to begin rehab assignments with Triple-A Nashville on April 29.

Zerpa was placed on the 15-day injured list on April 29 with left forearm tightness and is set to undergo additional testing. "He’s not going to be back any time soon,” manager Pat Murphy said.

Yelich (left groin stain) was ramping up his hitting and running progressions as of April 28.

Priester (right neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome) is expected to throw four innings or 60-65 pitches in his next rehab start scheduled for May 1.

Jared Jones and Jared Triolo, Pirates

Jones (right elbow surgery) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Bradenton on April 29.

Triolo (right knee patellar tendon injury) went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored in his first game with Double-A Altoona after having his rehab assignment transferred from Single-A Bradenton.

Zac Gallen and Gabriel Moreno, D-backs

Gallen (right shoulder contusion) expects to throw a bullpen on April 29 and is optimistic about making his next start as scheduled.

Moreno (left oblique strain) is expected to rejoin the D-backs during their April 28-30 series against the Brewers.

Daniel Susac, Harrison Bader and Jason Foley, Giants

Susac (right elbow ulnar neuritis) has started his hitting program and should resume throwing later in the week of April 27.

Bader (left hamstring strain) began a baserunning progression on April 28.

Foley (right shoulder surgery) threw a live batting practice session in Arizona on April 28.

Pete Fairbanks, Marlins

Fairbanks was placed on the 15-day injured list on April 28 with nerve irritation in his pitching hand.

Ryan Feltner, Rockies

Feltner (right ulnar nerve inflammation) played catch for the first time since hitting the IL on April 28 and hopes to return without needing a rehab assignment.
