The annual Pride Celebration at Wrigley Field will take place Monday, June 15, in support of the LGBTQ+ community. Before the Cubs take on the Rockies, stop by Gallagher Way to enjoy a vibrant event featuring LGBTQ+ owned and friendly businesses and activities including:
- A variety of bites from Taylor’s Tacos.
- Additions to your stationery collection from Paper & Pencil.
- Sweet treats from Chicago Sugar Daddy Patisserie.
- A face painting “glam station” to elevate your gameday look.
- A special-edition Cubs Pride photo booth.
- The chance to toss a ball with Play Catch With A Dad, a group of dads who come together to uplift members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Fans can also look forward to live pregame performances from local artists including the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus and a set by DJ Pedrito. The festivities will continue inside the ballpark with gameday elements spotlighting the LGBTQ+ community, including:
- A pregame recognition honoring Center on Halsted, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community of Chicago and Midwest.
- Ceremonial first pitches thrown out by Level Sporting Club Founder and CEO Clarissa Flores and content creators Rocco Forgione and Corey Martin, known as the “Rainbow Dads” on social media.
- The national anthem will be sung by the Windy City Gay Chorus and Treble Quire from the Windy City Performing Arts.
To participate, fans are encouraged to purchase a ticket to the June 15 game through the Pride Celebration Special Ticket Offer which comes with a special-edition Cubs Pride jersey. Jerseys will be offered in sizes M, XL and XXL, and available on a first-come, first-served basis with a portion of proceeds benefiting Center on Halsted.
