Los Angeles Wildfires: Support for Victims and First Responders
Listed below are a variety of community resources available to support individuals and families impacted by the recent fires. The organizations provide a wide range of assistance including shelter, supplies, emotional support, public safety information, or guidance through these difficult times.
The American Red Cross continues to provide critical wildfire recovery support across Los Angeles. Current services include financial assistance for impacted households, emotional care, and access to essential resources through Disaster Recovery Centers. The Red Cross offers support without requiring identification, and all services are free for anyone in need.
Those affected by the fires may be eligible to receive Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funds for housing needs, essential items, rental assistance, property losses and other eligible expenses.
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank works with local partners to offer groceries and meals to those in need across Los Angeles County.

The County of Los Angeles offers an opt-in mass notification program that sends out emergency alerts by text, email and/or phone call. It also provides accessibility features for people with disabilities and/or access and functional needs.
Genasys Protect is an evacuation management tool that allows residents to look up their addresses and use the zone map to find evacuation information for their area.
The California Insurance Commissioner’s Office has provided resources for those affected by the Palisades and Eaton fires to support them as they begin to rebuild.
If you or someone you love is experiencing emotional distress due to the wildfires, LACDMH offers 24/7 mental health support through its Help Line. In-person services including counseling, crisis stabilization, and medication support are available at Disaster Recovery Centers.
For those looking to volunteer, L.A. Works has provided a list of organizations helping those affected by the fires that are seeking volunteers.
