Seager was struck by an 85.1 mph slider on the first pitch thrown by reliever Giovanny Gallegos in the fourth inning. Seager took his base, but he was replaced in the bottom of the fifth by Cody Bellinger, who went to right field. Enrique Hernandez moved from right to short.
“We flushed it out with treatment after that hit-by-pitch and it feels better,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “We get on the flight home, obviously with altitude you’ve got to see how it responds to that, so tomorrow we’ll know more.”
Seager had reached all three times as the Dodgers took a 7-5 lead before his exit. He singled in the first and doubled and scored in the third.
