Dodgers' CFO Wilhelm steps down
Wilhelm, in an email to employees, said the new ownership will usher in another great era of Dodgers baseball.
"After much thought, I have decided to resign from the Los Angeles Dodgers," Wilhelm wrote. "I would like to thank each of you for the hard work and energy during the past many years. You should be proud of what you have built and should be excited about the acceleration that the new ownership will enable. I can unequivocally state that the ownership of Mark Walter, Todd Boehly, Bobby Patton, Earvin Johnson and Peter Guber, along with the leadership of Stan Kasten, will usher in another great era of Dodger baseball.
"Their collective energy, ideas, and drive to succeed will facilitate the success of the franchise. I hope for each of you, the community, and the worldwide fan base that 2012 is a year when everyone again comes to know the true organization, not the media depiction, with a championship both on and off the field.".
Wilhelm was in his sixth season as CFO and previously worked for the McCourt Group.
