GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Clayton Kershaw pitched two scoreless innings to open the Cactus League season and reserve third baseman Alex Guerrero homered as the Dodgers beat the White Sox, 6-1, on Thursday in Dave Roberts' debut as Los Angeles' manager.
Guerrero homered in the second inning off Chicago starter John Danks, who was touched up for two first-inning runs on RBI singles by Yasiel Puig and Yasmani Grandal.
Kershaw allowed a single, a walk and struck out two, then threw 20 more pitches in the bullpen after his outing. He has been named the Dodgers' Opening Day starter for the sixth consecutive season.

Danks was charged with three runs on five hits with a walk and strikeout in two innings.
"Getting used to game speed, game mound, different hitter in the box," Danks said. "Best way to describe it is testing the water, getting back out there, getting comfortable on the mound and see what you need to work on."

Joe Blanton followed Kershaw with two perfect innings, including three strikeouts.
The White Sox scored in the sixth inning off Carlos Frias on a walk by Brett Lawrie, a groundout and a sacrifice fly by new third baseman Todd Frazier. Catcher Dioner Navarro added two hits in his White Sox debut.
The Dodgers' Austin Barnes, Enrique Hernandez and Rob Segedin tallied RBIs to close out the scoring.
