Long-time Dodger employees to be honored

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers will celebrate 86 employees with 25 or more years of service in ceremonies on the field at Dodger Stadium prior to Tuesday night's 7:10 p.m. game with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the club announced.

Heading the list of those to be recognized are Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda and Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully, as well as long-time traveling secretary Billy DeLury, all with 64 seasons of service, pitching great Don Newcombe (56 seasons), Spanish language Hall of Fame broadcaster Jaime Jarrín (55 seasons), pinch-hitting wizard Manny Mota (44 years), 1965 World Series hero Lou Johnson (32 years), All-Star third baseman Ron Cey (29 seasons), All-Star outfielder and broadcaster Rick Monday (28 seasons) and organist Nancy Bea Hefley (26 seasons).

"The Dodgers are extremely grateful to all of our employees and we are particularly appreciative of the long-time service of those being recognized this evening," said Dodgers' President and CEO Stan Kasten. "Without the dedication of our employees it would be impossible for the Dodgers to fulfill our commitment to the greatest possible fan experience for those visiting Dodger Stadium."

Others with 40 or more years of service to be honored by the Dodgers include ticket seller Jerry Mickelsen (51), security manager Edward Gonzales (50), stand captain Robert Natelborg (47), ticket taker Miguel Yanez (44), batting practice pitcher Peter Bonfils (43), director of elevator operations James Harvey (43), ticket taker Eduardo Becerril (43), Vice President of Ticket Operations Billy Hunter (41) and usher Howard Levine (41).
