Dodgers announce 2014 Spring Training schedule

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Dodgers announced their 2014 Spring Training Schedule, which includes games in two states and two hemispheres.

Because of the historic season-opening series in Australia against the D-backs on March 22-23, the Dodgers will play 21 Cactus League games in Arizona, leaving the country after a March 16 game against Colorado at Camelback Ranch-Glendale.

They will squeeze in an exhibition game March 21 at the Sydney Cricket Grounds against Team Australia the day before they play the D-backs, then return to California for a three-game Freeway Series against the Angels from March 27-29 before resuming the regular season on April 1.

Cactus League play opens Feb. 26 against Arizona at Talking Stick.

The first two games against the Angels will be at Dodger Stadium, the third game at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.

The only two night Cactus League games will be part of split-squads, March 8 against Seattle at Glendale and March 15 against the White Sox at Glendale.
