LOS ANGELES DODGERS FOUNDATION AND BROTHERHOOD CRUSADE TO HOST TURKEY DRIVE-THRU AT LOMA ALTA PARK TO SUPPORT ALTADENA AND PASADENA FAMILIES IMPACTED BY WILDFIRES
The event builds on the recent unveiling of two Dodgers Dreamfields,
continuing relief and recovery support for families impacted by the
Eaton and Palisades Fires
WHAT: The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF), in partnership with Brotherhood Crusade, will host a Thanksgiving grab-and-go drive-thru at Loma Alta Park for the first time on Saturday, November 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This event marks the first of two turkey distributions this holiday season, with its annual South Los Angeles drive scheduled for later this month.
The event will serve 750 families with turkeys, Thanksgiving fixings, gift cards, and basic essentials to help them prepare a holiday meal. The drive-thru is open to the public, and resources will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Loma Alta Park was the first of Altadena’s County parks to reopen following damage sustained by the Eaton Fire. The park now features two Dodgers Dreamfields and enhanced facilities. This event builds on LADF’s wildfire relief efforts, which have distributed 625,000 essential items, 4,200 education resources, 1.5 million meals, and supported rebuilding the Palisades YMCA and more since January. Brotherhood Crusade, a longtime LADF grantee, has received more than $750,000 in grant funding to address food insecurity in Los Angeles communities.
