Dodgers claim Taylor Trammell

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed outfielder Taylor Trammell from Seattle. In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers designated left-handed pitcher Matt Gage for assignment.

Trammell, 26, was designated for assignment on March 28, 2024 by the Mariners. Last season, he hit .130 with three homers and 11 RBI in 22 games for Seattle and hit .268 with 21 homers for Triple-A Tacoma. He has played 116 Major League games over three seasons with Seattle, hitting a combined .168 with 15 homers and 39 RBI. He was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 2016 as the 35th overall pick out of Mount Para Christian High School.
