Dodgers recall Mitch White

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Mitch White and placed right-handed pitcher Kenley Jansen on paternity leave.

White, 25, returns for ninth stint with the team and he is 1-3 with a 3.92 ERA (19 ER/43.2 IP) and 47 strikeouts in 19 games for the Dodgers. He has spent parts of the season with Low-A Rancho Cucamonga and Triple-A Oklahoma City, going a combined 3-0 with a 2.02 ERA (8 ER/35.2 IP) and 42 strikeouts in 10 games. The former second rounder out of Santa Clara University is 2-3 with a 3.66 ERA (19 ER/46.2 IP) in 21 career MLB games.

Jansen, 33, is 2-4 with a 2.43 ERA (16 ER/59.1 IP) and 32 saves this season for the Dodgers. He has converted 11 straight saves, posing a 1-0 record with a 1.29 ERA (3 ER/21.0 IP) and 26 strikeouts in that span. In his 12-year career with the Dodgers, he is 35-26 with a 2.39 ERA and 344 career saves. He is the franchise leader in saves and ranks 14th all-time in the category.
