Biking Information

Citi Field is easily accessible by bike and scooter

New for this year, the Mets are adding additional personal bike racks, fully-valeted Citi Bike service at existing docks, as well as increased e-scooter sharing opportunities to encourage fans to take advantage of eco-friendly transportation options.

The 34th Avenue bike lane connects the stadium to/from the west with Elmhurst and Corona. The newly reopened sidewalks of the Roosevelt Ave bridge provide safe biking to/from Downtown Flushing to our east.

Personal Bike & Scooter

The Mets encourage local residents to bike to the game on their own personal bike should they have one. Bike racks are available at various locations around the ballpark.

Bike Share (Citi Bike)

Citi Bike, NYC’s bike sharing program, is readily available at Citi Field. Look for bikes and e-bikes at two convenient station locations:

  • Mets Plaza to the left of the Homerun Apple
  • Pedestrian plaza adjacent to the intersection of Shea Road and Boat Basin Place.

Citi Bike operates a valet service onsite during most Mets games and large events so rest assured, there will always be an available dock for you to return your bike and walk into Citi Field.

Reminder that Citi Field sits at the east edge of the zone so all rides should come/go from the west (i.e. Elmhurst, Corona, Jackson Heights). For more information on the program, please visit citibikenyc.com.

E-Scooter Share

New in 2026, the Mets have partnered with NYC DOT and e-scooter companies to provide scooter-share stations near the stadium. On gamedays only, customers of those companies can hire scooters to/from Downtown Flushing via the Roosevelt Ave Bridge. The Mets have created two locations adjacent to Citi Field where customers can dock their scooters pregame and/or pick them up postgame:

  • Roosevelt Ave – underneath the 7-train station adjacent to Mets Plaza
  • Seaver Way (126th St) – in the sidewalk adjacent to the Right Field Gate

For more information on riding safely, please visit NYC DOT’s website.

Please always use caution when biking on or around Citi Field, especially on gamedays when the number of pedestrians and vehicles increase dramatically. We encourage bike riders to walk bikes on plazas and sidewalks adjacent to the stadium for everyone’s safety.

Please lock all bikes and equipment appropriately, the Mets are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged bikes.

The Mets encourage all riders to wear a helmet. A reminder that backpacks and large containers are NOT allowed at Citi Field, but you ARE allowed to bring your bike helmet into the stadium with you, either as is or in small tote bag. Please see our Security Policies for further information on approved bags and entry policies.
