Battle of the Badges | August 19, 2026

NYPD and FDNY will face off in the fifth annual Battle of the Badges charity baseball game, presented by Your Local Ford Stores, at Citi Field on Wednesday, August 19. This year’s event will be featured as part of a special single-admission doubleheader, beginning approximately one hour after the conclusion of the 1:10 p.m. Mets vs. Padres game (around 5:00 p.m.). The Mets will donate $5 from all single game and group sale tickets to benefit local FDNY and NYPD charities.

Your ticket to the August 19 Mets game is also your ticket to Battle of the Badges, giving fans access to an unforgettable full day of baseball and community spirit.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch NYPD and FDNY, featuring former professional and collegiate baseball players who now serve as New York City’s everyday heroes, go head-to-head in an exciting match-up at Citi Field. Mets Hall of Famer David Wright will help host this special day, adding to an unforgettable experience for fans and supporters alike.

Admission to Battle of the Badges is included with every ticket purchased for the August 19 Mets vs. Padres game.
