Adrian needs help to retake lead in ASG vote

LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez slipped to second behind Arizona's Paul Goldschmidt in voting at his position on the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot.

Gonzalez has 1,882,725 total votes, compared to Goldschmidt's 2,010,049 votes. Gonzalez, who is trying for his fifth career All-Star selection and first fan-elected start, would join Steve Garvey (1974-80) as the only Dodgers first basemen to win a fan election, and he would become the first Dodgers infielder to accomplish the feat since second baseman Jeff Kent in 2005.

Other Dodgers in contention in the voting: Howie Kendrick is fourth among second basemen, Yasmani Grandal is fifth among catchers and Joc Pederson is 11th among outfielders.
